Question about Cameras

1 Answer

I've accidentally deleted 206 photos from my Casio Exilim by deleting a short cut to "My Pictues" on my computer, thinking I had transferred the photos to My Pictures and was deleting the photos from the camera (not the computer). I'm desperate, please help.

i didn't hear back from you yet, lets say if it does then, don't write or change anything to the drive or camra as you can damage the pictures at this point. only read and save pics that you recover to your computer.

Casio Camera Exilim EX-Z29: After transfering pics to my laptop (Mac) I am unable to erase them from the laptop (get an error message that is unable to do) and from the camera I get a "card is...

You didn't actually transfer the pix, you created shortcuts to them. You'll have to have the camera attached to the Mac to delete the shortcuts. Then, move the files from the camera to the computer. That will clear the card, and insure you've actually got the files on the computer, not just shortcuts.

Normally it is easier to select the photos one by one and the right scroll key will show you the delete button- also the recycle bin button will be able to delete directly .
Once you press the delete, the screen will ask you once again to confirm your action so as to caution any accidental erasure. Press the key once again to delete.

Message reads "card is locked." After

Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Did you transfer them to a computer? Sometimes that will automatically delete them. Did you go into the menu and accidentally erase them? It's hard to say what happened without knowing exactly what all was going on. It's usually not real easy to just erase pictures.

Deleted Pics

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download this photo recovery software
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.
