X2600 won't print and I don't have cd to re-install

Unplug the printer from the power source to turn it off. Open the printer cover to access the cartridge area. If you see the paper jam, slowly and carefully pull the paper out of the printer. Avoid tearing the paper or avoid leaving torn pieces in the printer. This will cause future paper jams in the printer.

When all is clear, re-plug the printer into the power source. Load some paper and try to print again.
Tips: Use only paper that is in good condition. Fan the paper before loading into the feeder to prevent sticking together. Use the specified media type and sizes for your model. Don't overload the feeder.

If you have the Lexmark X2600 installation disc that came with your printer, insert it in your computer hard drive and it will automatically launch the software installation. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions on your computer screen. If you don't have the install disc, you can download the X2600 driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/aNGYmW. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

Go into printer properties and make sure that you don't have print quality set to draft. Try normal or best and see if that makes any difference.

go to printers n faxes, right click on Lexmark X2600 choose Set as Default Printer

install first the cd installer of the printer...

...do the set up process until they completely finish..

x2600 is compatible to Vista..

Do do not need internet access to print from a local printer. Just make sure the driver is installed it the operating system does not install it for you.

Pull the tray out at the bottom of the printer. This is causing the printer to think it has a paper jam. It is simply the paper feed button.

The driver could be corrupted or it is set to default to one page only.
When you bring up the printer's menu, check the setting for the number of pages; it should default to 'All.'
If you find nothing misset, try reinstalling the software that came with the unit.
If it argues with you because it has detected an existing installation, then remove the Lexmark software through the Control Panel, 'Add or remove programs' function. If you have to go that route, then remove that printer from the 'Printers and faxes' folder, reboot with the printer turned on and if asked for a CD, insert the one that came with your Lexmark.
