I cant get the water to come through and brew a cup of coffee. it beeps 3 times and shuts off? is there anything I can do its only a year old.

Use a coffee pot cleaning additive (used to descale irons too) and run it through the brewing cycle.. flush it well afterwards with the brew cycle 2X more and it should be fine. Mineral deposits from hard water have clogged the line. Otherwise, get a new coffee maker as the valve in completely closed with mineral deposits and there is no way to open it to remove them and reseal it. An under sink water filter to remove hardness will prevent this from happening again.

I have a hotpoint mfg#HDA2100VCC brand new and its leaving this brownish film on the residents dishes. Everything cycles fine and ive checked her water to make sure it isnt hard or carring rust deposits...

those dissolving detergent packs are the cause of 80% of warranty pump failures. i have even seen them wedge under the heating element and catch fire during the drying cycle. it could be from the detergent. but most likely it is from iron deposits in the water that you cant normally see that oxidize during the drying cycle. install a simple filter on the water suppy, change to a liquid detergent, and run the diswasher with some vinegar inside a few times after installing the filter.

Hi ,my hotpoint aquarius dishwasher FDW60 is not cleaning properly. It seems to be completing a full cycle but the tablet has not dissolved fully.or the dishes are all dirty. Can you advise please ,Dermot

If you have hard water, it is likely that the sprayer in the bottom of the dishwasher has become clogged with hard water deposits. This may be the case, even with soft water.

On most models, the sprayer looks like a propellor, and can be removed by carefully unscrewing the fastener at the top and carefully removing the sprayer. If you have a digital camera, I recommend taking pictures at each disassembly step, so you know how to put things back together (in the reverse order that they were removed). It should not be too difficult to remove it, but you may have to gently work with the fastener at the top to get it to budge.

You will need to clean all the spray holes and ensure that none are clogged. I used an ice pick and toothpicks to clean out the holes recently on my dishwasher. (We have hard water).

You may need to soak the sprayer in vinegar overnight if you're not able to completely clean out all the holes.

Good luck!

My dishes are not coming clean, grit and particles are stick to the bottom of the glasses when cycle is finished. Would this be a filter problem?

My wife had the same problem which was fixed by changing detergent and appeared to be caused by hard water. Make sure the screen/filter in the bottom area is clean. It may help to run an empty cycle with detergent and white vinegar to remove hard water deposits from the screen/filter. Hope this helps!

Dishes still dirty when cycle is done.

Tear down the lower spray assembly to the deck making note of position and orientation of each part as removed. At the bottom, look for a large filter that is likely filled with hard water/food deposits. Place the filter in a solution of hot water, white vinegar, and dish detergent for some time until the filter appears clean. Check for any trapped food deposits around any of the open ports in the deck. Reassemble in reverse order. Check the spray arms for any plugging of the small spray openings or any split seams. Check the water temperature by interrupting the wash cycle--it should be quite hot and steaming. Try a different type and brand of detergent as some are better than others in dealing with hard water deposits. Hope this helps!

We have hard water deposits on the pump and motor not cleaning

Without a model number, or even a brand / manufacturer, it is nearly impossible to tell you how your product comes apart. Many brands have a screw (often times with left hand threads) holding the spray arm on, while others may come off by just lifting on the spray arm while turning it CCW, or might have locking clips which need to be released.
In any case, before going that far, go to a hardware, appliance parts, or possibly grocery store to find a product called Dishwasher Magic. It is in a small rectangular bottle. Use that as directed in a cycle to clean out your dishwasher. The spray arms may need to be cleaned out of blockage from candy wrapers, toothpicks, seeds, etc., or possibly even replaced if unable to fully clean out. Also, dishwashers will not clean very well if you are using hard water. I'd suggest looking into installing a water softener.

Top arm is not moving

Filter and rotor jets prob clogged.

In wash, the water is heated, supposed to dissolve the soap and then sucked thru a filter and pumped up the back and out the top to spray water everywhere.

Soap doesn't always fully dissolve and clogs the filter and some slimy gets thru and clogs the rotor jets.

To fix:
1. Remove Upper and lower dish drawers

2. Take off the Upper. Middle and lotwe rotors and clean their jets out with toothpick and frequent flushing (Plug a clean hole with toothpick to make water come out elsewhere) Use the sink on full blast to see if water comes out all holes.

3. Reassemble rotors.

4. Remove and clean filter. The filter is in the bottom above the Motor/pump and held in with 8 shiny hex-head or Torx screws. Take out all screws, lift out filter and clean in sink with warm or hot water from backside. Use garden hose for hard to reach areas.

5. Reinstall filter. Don't overtighten or you will crack it

6. Replace drawers
