Most repair shops have bulk hose, non-electric, that you can buy by the foot.

My Bissell has been new filters, belt and had the hoses cleaned. Still blows dirt out the back onto my feet and has no suction.

The first place to look is to see if you have a clog where the dirt flows into the vacuum down by the brush roll. This is a very common place for clog, it may be back in deep where it is hard to see.

The filters are new, the belt is new, I cleaned the hoses but my Bissel seems to blow the dirt out the back onto my feet help

There is probably a clog somewhere. Start by checking the tube where the air is sucked into the vacuum by the brushroll

Cannot release hose from handle DC 25

Try to raise the wand first. Then the hose will follow it as you pull it up.

We have an Epic6500. when we plug it in the machine works without the hose. We even purchased a new hose thinking there was a problem with the hose. However as soon as we put the hose on the machine the...

Wow, this is a good one. I wonder if anyone has wrked on this machine before. Do you remember what happened when it stopped working / Obviously there is a foul up in the wiring. I need more info. When the machine is on does it shut off as soon as the hose is plugged in? All I can figure with the info. I have is the hose is plugged which overloads the machine overheating it and the heat sensor shuts it down. But, if bought a new hose that cant be can it? Check the hose anyway for clogs. Blow in the hose with your mouth and se if the air goes through easily. Also, check the back side if the machine to see if the motor is hot. Please, let me know what you find, this is weird. After fixing Electrolux for almost 25 years I have never come across this. Chris email me crash_59@shaw.ca

My Dyson dc 18 slim extender wand has NO suction. There is a plastic white cylinder object blocking.

If the floor head has suction and the wand does not, or vice-versa, the white cylinder you are referring to diverts the suction between the floor head and wand. If the flimsy plastic switch used to turn the cylinder is broken, you may need a new under carriage or just set the cylinder to wand or floor manually and use it as a one dimension cleaner. Depending on your ability, perhaps the switch can be purchases and replaced by a DIYer, but the job looks moderately difficult.

Will not suck

You must still have a clog, check the dirt inlet down by the brush roll(#23) for a clog. Do you have suction at the hose end, if you do, then it is clogged down below. If you don't then either the hose or filters are clogged.

Vacuum hose replace electrolux how to

YOU DON'T SAY IF YOU HAVE THE NEWER HOSE OR THE CLASSIC ONE WITH THE STEEL TIP (BETTER DESIGN). IF IT'S THE LATTER UN-SCREW THE SCREW CLOSEST TO THE STEEL TIP,TAKE A SMALL SCREW DRIVER AND LIFT THE THE PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT WAS SCREWED DOWN JUST ENOUGH TO SLIP THE HOSE OUT.
WHAT YOU'LL BE FACED WITH IS SOMETHING I WOULDN'T SUGGEST CUTTING.
IT MAY BE MORE PRACTICAL BUYING A NEW HOSE. AN ELECTROLUX WILL LAST FOREVER,BUT YOU DO HAVE TO REPLACE THINGS LIKE THE COMBO DUST/UPHULSTRY ATTACHMENT. THE HOSE IS PROBABLY THE FIRST THING YOU WOULD NEED TO REPLACE BECAUSE OF AIR LEAKS. I'VE HAD MY OLYMPIA ONE FOR 27 YEARS AND HAD TO REPLACE THE HOSE ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. YOUR CHOICE.
