I have the same problem..I can receive mail but not not send it. I have contacted my isp (their e-mail account works fine from their web page), but I WANT my Windows mail to work. Best Buy, the Geek Squad, Microsoft, all will help for a fee. I feel tht fter paying almost $1000, I shouldn't have to pay extra!!!!! E-machines passes me back to Micrsoft. An aquaintance suggested a firewall......you tell me!!!!!!! t.h.

Can you check your e-mail setting account maybe your outgoing mail server is change. Ask your ISP provider if they change the SMTP server. I cannot give you more advice because i dont know what e-mail software you use now.

Can't use either Microsoft Live Mail or Lookout Express v6 with Belkin Router. Can't send or receive email Can you tell me what the email setup is for either one? Both email programs probably use the same...

Ask COMCAST for the names of their POP-server and of their MAIL-server, and configure Outlook Express to use those names.

Microsoft Live Mail is "web-based" -- all you need to do is to web-surf to their web-site, login, and click "send/receive" or click "compose" and later "send".

Cant send e-mail from windows toanyone. but i can recive them .

What operating system are you on? XP?
What program are you using to send and receive mail? outlook? Outlook express? windows mail? or some online mail provider?
Please copy the exact error message you receive and reply back with a comment including that message(s).
In the meantime, here's a page with links to some of the more commonly asked questions about email, for xp click here, vista click here.
Or search the internet for the name of the email program you are using + error.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Using thunderbird mail program on lap top. can receive e-mail, but can not send e-mail on any public wi-fi connection. error message says can not connect to mail server on port 25.

most isp blocks port 25 for sending out mail that's the reason you cant send out mail, ask you wifi(ISP) smtp settings and you need to set it on your smtp server so you can send out mail using thier smtp as outgoing server.

OR ask you email provider about your webmail address and manually send out mail using the web interface of your email hosting.

btw have you try to change you smtp port to 587 sometimes it work.

In mo office word(2007) i also have vista preinstalled in my ph laptop, my send to email is disabled. i am using windows mail???Any step by step solution would me gratefull, thanks,,katrina

Usually if the send mail button is disabled it is because you have not configured an e-mail account into Windows Mail. Follow the steps below to setup your e-mail account:
