Epson status says cyan full, but will not print any blue on a test page.
Magenta was stated as low - I have replaced this but this has made no difference.

Perhaps need to clarify some things: -
1) Its a laser printer - to my knowledge it does not have print nozzles. 2) I have cleaned all serviceable parts according to the Epson Manual 3) The printer utility shows all cartridges have toner 4)All fitted cartridges are geniuine developer cartrides from Epson, apart from the Magenta I have just replaced. I have used both a Print Rite cartridge and Minolta compatible cartridge in the Magenta slot - both new and have the correct Epson Part No for 4500 prints size cartridge 5) All cartridges are in the correct colour positions 6) I have tried all available colour settings but cannot get cyan to print at all 7) all cartridges are showing good coatings of the correct colour ink powder on their rollers
Ideas:
Do I try different printer drivers for my XP 32 bit OS? Do I buy a new cyan cartridge - it might be faulty although roller suggests not? Worst case scenario - EPSON C900 is faulty. Go to the replacement wizard and follow it but just remove then return all the cartridges. after this perform nozzle check and cleaning an the preferences menu. this should work. thanks.

printer mixes colors to get final color. So if it prints Magenta then it may be missing Blue or Cyan. Try printing a blue color or a Cyan. Suggest forcing printer to do a deep clean if ink tanks are full.

Is it under warranty, are you re-filling the cartridges? If yes to first and no to the other two, send it back under warranty. If you use copy cartridges or refill old ones the warranty is vod. This means you need to replace the printer. To be honest, you'd be better off buying an Epson all in one. Even the wireless model start @ sound 40gbp and you can buy good copy cartridges from choicestationery.com
It means some nozzle not perfect. If you check nozzle, there is missing lines for some nozzle. Example : Print blue color ( 100% cyan + 100% magenta). If some point of cyan head is clog, the output will be shown that at some lines just show magenta. It repeated.
Yous said every 8 mm, so, you must print it at best photo quality.
If you have print at best photo quality, and lines still appear, it must some nozlle badly clog. Try do head cleaning, wait for 30 minutes. Check Nozzle.
Status monitor just show approximately, not real level. It might be yellow and cyan ink is out actually.Others, yellow and cyan nozzle may be clog. Check nozzle, do head cleaning. Check nozzle again.
sounds lke your yellow nozzle not working properly...had same issue on lexmark printer, ended up geting this epson...learnt from my mistakes...perhaps it ran dry? or you left the yellow cartridge out longer than the rest....only you might know what happened
