How do I install the carbon and hepa filters for the Bionaire BAP825 model? The hepa filters are narrow and won't clip to the sides. Where does the carbon filter go - Inside or outside the hepa filters? Do you have a picture I can take a look at?

Re: bionaire bap825 air purifier
If you have a manual it will be on page 2 of the manual under cleaning and maintance. it willhave the picture there. if you don't have the manual. the hepa's go in first and they should snap on and the the carbon lays on top and then you put the back on the unti back on.

there should be a pin hole at the top of the unit by the lights and power button. you will need like a sewing needle to put in there. hold for about 5 seconds and the unit will reset. if that doesn't work. you need to turn off the unit unplug it for about 10 seconds and plug back in. if that doesn't work please let me know.
there should be a tiny in hole at the top of the unit. when the unit is on put a pin inside that hole and hold it for about 5 seconds. then release the unit's lights will all come back on and then it should be reset as if you just turned the unit on. if that doesn't work please let me know and i will see what else i can do for you.
the sparking of the purifier by the plug is NOT good. it can be a fire hazard. there is a short within the switch. the best thing is to make sure that your under warranty and then call the manufacturer to get a replacement.
if you go onto the bionaire website and in the search bar type in your model number it will pull up a pic. click on the picture and right underneath it it will say your model number and then manual. if it's not there scroll down until you see a customer service box and the first one should say manual. clickon that and it will pull up in adobe reader
I do apologize for the inconvenience, the best way that i can tell you to fix the light is that there is a tiny pin hole on top of the unit. that's a reset button. you need a small needle or something that will fit in there. hold it down for about 3 seconds. your unit should reset. the light sometimes comes on with new filters cause it hasn't recognized that they are new yet. if that reset doens't work please let me know
The carbon filter should have the air passing through it first, before the hepa filter. The carbon filter removes the large particles which would otherwise block the hepa filter very quickly.
