DOES YOUR STEREO HAVE A DETACHABLE FACE??
IF IT DOES, THEN YOUR LUCKY, CUZ ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS DETACH THE WHOLE THING OFF. IT HAS A RESET BUTTON BEHIND THE FACE. PRESS IT WITH A SHARP TIP AND VOILA.

NOW IF YOU HAVE THE KIND OF STEREO THAT CAR MANUFACTURERS PLACE IN VEHICLES THEN JUST DRIVE TO YOUR LOCAL AGENCY AND PAY THE FEE.

GOOD LUCK

Won't read any DVD's

Have you tried using a CD player cleaner in the unit? Try a "wet" system. One that uses a cd with tiny brushes on it that you pour a little (included) cleaner on it and run it in the player as if it were any other cd. They have worked miracles for me in the past. Also, although I'm not sure about Kenwoods, I have had a number of aftermarket head units and they have all had. "Reset" button on them. I usually find them on the front located behind the faceplate. Simply remove cd's, press and hold button (with ballpoint pen) for 10- 20 seconds. This will require you to reset time, memory etc... Good luck!

DVD will not eject from movie player.

On some DVD player there is a little pinhole next to the opening or tray in case the disk or tray won't eject. You can unbend a paper clip and insert it into hole and see if it will eject. If not you will need to remove radio and have it serviced.

Your vehicle is not that old, take it to the dealer and see if your radio is still covered under warranty.

Good Luck!

The CD player/changer in my car is not loading or ejecting the CD's. When I push the load or eject button, it makes a grinding sound. It was playing fine yesterday but since I left a CD inside the CD...

I just acquired the same problem. I tried to put a new CD in and it wouldn't take it. I ended up pushing it in when I was trying to get it back out and now it won't play the CD, or eject it. I think it could be stuck between tracks, but they want $188 to look at it and fix it even if it is a simple fix. I am looking for suggestions also, Diane

CD player is not working.

I would first try removing the fuse to the radio/cd player, see if that resets the system and get the cd out.

Hope this helps some.

Dvd player not working on 06 Honda Odyssey

The Honda dealer just wanted to replace my entertainment center without even troubleshooting and I wasn't convinced that it was "broken" so I found the FIXYA website and saw that others had the same problem and I followed their instructions and it now works fine. I am going to call the Honda dealer to complain because they should have known this.

We simply pulled the fuse out and put it back in and then reset the radio code!

DVD Stuck in player

There is nothing you can do with this problem unless you are able to repair DVD players, the loading mechanism of any DVD player is very complicated, chances are a small part has broken. Call the dealer and ask for the phone # of the repair center they use, call them for an estimate, don't go through the dealer, they will double the repair bill from the radio shop.
