ZHotkey is a program file which is hardware related. As many spyware programs use similiar names and just locate them elsewhere on your hard drive. Always check the proper disk location of your programs if you are suspicious. This program is known as the chicony keyboard and hardware program, and it controls various keyboard functionalities. This program is considered safe and is not spyware or adware.

How to add files to you external memory device in Windows

Below are the steps on how to add files to your external memory device like an USB Thumb drive or SD Card.

The first thing you have to do is make sure that your computer is detecting the device properly and it a drive letter is being assigned to the device in My Computer. Note if you have a lot of devices that you connect to your computer it is common that you have to go and change the drive letter of the drive so that it shows up properly in My Computer. The links below will show you how to do this.

How to change your drive letter in Windows Vista and Windows 7

How to change your drive letter in Windows XP

After you get the removable drive showing in My Computer then you can double click on the removable drive icon to open it.
26f9793.png
Next you will want to open up the location of where your other files are located. So for example if you are wanting to access your music files and you have them saved in you’re my Music folder then open your Start menu and click on My Music. This will open another window with you’re my Music in it.

Now at this point you can copy the files 2 ways ether my right clicking on the file(s) in question and selecting copy. Then on the window for the removable drive right click and select paste. The other way is to click hold on the file(s) in question and drag then over to the removable drive. This is what is call drag and drop. Either way will work.

Note if you want to transfer files to your computer from the removable device you would do these steps in reverse.

My Sony VGC-RB34G is suddenly showing nothing on monitor except a sign "Check Signal Cable". I have cleaned and put back RAM tight. The fan works, I hear beeps when computer starts but no pic. I...

The computer should beep ONCE when starting-up.
More than one BEEP implies either that the video-card is not responding, or that it is not fully "seated" in its slot.

Try a different video-card in your desktop.

I have a hp a288n desktop. It quit responding as it has done previously and it wouldn't turn off, so I turned it off by the power button. When I went to turn it back on it would not start. I have unplugged...

I've attached the steps needed to be taken if your computer does not turn off.
If you pc is turned off and you can't turn it on now, please provide me more informations like;
  • what is the color of your screen
  • what written on your screen
  • Can you see cursor blinking or arrow
  • Any error message displayed?
  • The HP or Compaq Logo Screens are Missing on Startup
  • When the pc stops responding, before or after Windows start up?
Steps below is to show you how to resolve the issue of the pc not shutting down.

Step 1: Using one anti-virus program
You only need one anti-virus program. If more than one anti-virus program is open at the same time, uninstall the extra software programs. Several virus scanning software on the same PC can create software conflicts. This is also true for multiple versions of the same anti-virus software. For example, if Norton Antivirus version five and Norton Antivirus version 2002 are both installed on the same PC, uninstall the older version (version 5 in this case). Use the following steps to remove programs:
  • In Windows XP, click Start , then Control Panel.
  • In Windows 95, 98, and Me, click Start , Settings , then Control Panel
  • Double-click Add/Remove Programs
  • Select the anti-virus software that you want to remove and click the Add/Remove button, or the Change/Remove button in Windows XP.
  • Restart the PC when the uninstaller has finished.
  • When the Windows desktop appears, restart the PC again. The PC should shut down and restart normally this time. If not, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Disabling Software that opens with Windows
For troubleshooting purposes, reduce the amount of software that opens with Windows to try and find out if a software conflict is occurring.

  • Open the Microsoft System Configuration software (Msconfig), remove the selection next to Load Startup Items , click OK , and restart the PC.
  • For more information, refer to Preventing Programs from Opening When Windows Starts .
    Restart the PC using Windows.
  • If the Windows still fails to close, continue to next step.

Step 3: Turning off all power options
Turn off all Windows power management options and shut down the PC as follows.

  • In Windows XP, click Start , Control Panel , and then Performance and Maintenance.
  • In Windows 95, 98, and Me, click Start , Settings , and then Control Panel .
  • Double-click the Power Options icon.
  • The Power Options Properties window appears.
  • Click the Power Schemes tab and change all selections under Settings for Always On power scheme to Never .
  • Click the Hibernate tab and remove the check mark from Enable hibernate support .
  • Click the OK button to accept the changes, and then restart the PC.
  • When the Windows desktop appears, restart the PC again. The PC should shut down and restart normally this time. Regardless, continue to the next Step to see if a BIOS update is available.
Step 4: Upgrading the BIOS
The BIOS is code that the PC uses at start up and is responsible for many things. One of those things is power management, which can get in the way of the shutdown process.

Please rate my solution.

Systems usually come with a large amount of "startup" items - each of them takes up memory and slows down the computer; sometimes significantly. By performing the steps below, it does not remove the program from your computer; it merely keeps it from "pre-loading" when your computer starts up. Some things, such as your antivirus software, drivers and "easy button" type software that runs the extra buttons on a keyboard, for example, should not be removed from startup.
Go to Control Panel, turn on the Classic View and then go to Administrative Tools. Go into "System Configuration".
You will see several tabs: General, Boot, Services, Startup and Tools.
Click on the Startup tab.
You can choose to disable unnecessary programs but as I stated in the beginning, make sure you don't disable any important system components or drivers. If you are not sure which ones you can disable, it is better to consult someone knowledgeable with a list (the list is different on every computer) and let them help you.
If you know which programs you don't need to start when Windows starts, just uncheck the box on the left side of each program you want to disable. When you are finished, click OK.
A new window will appear and ask if you want to restart the computer. Go ahead and restart now.
After the reboot, you will see a balloon popup showing "Windows has blocked some startup programs".
In order to remove this, click the icon in the system tray and select "Run blocked program" and then click on System Configuration Utility. You will see another window with a warning, once again, that you have changed the way Windows starts. Select "Don't show this message or start System Configuration when Windows starts" and then click OK.
You may be extremely surprised at how much faster and more smooth your system will run without the extra load on your memory. If you would like to re-enable any of the items, just follow the same procedure, and place the checkmark back in the box for items you would like to re-enable for startup.
