Question about Frigidaire FGF376 Gas Kitchen Range
My Frigidaire FGF376 Range has recently started taking an average of 40+ minutes to preheat to 415 degrees, where it used to only take about 15-20. Occasionlly we get a whiff of gas as well, this range is about two or three years old. thanks

You could have a gas leak on one of the connections or a leaking safety valve. Mix some dishsoap, (dawn, etc) with water, 50/50. Soak the connections and fittings on the incoming line to the range. If You get bubbles you found the leak. Next find the orfice for the bake burner, take out the drawer and you should see the tube in the center. It will have an opening in the bottom where the orfice goes in. The orfice is brass, spray some soap bubbles on the brass orfice and see if it bubbles, if it does you need a new safety valve. Still no bubbles open the oven and look on the back wall of the cavity for the broil orfice ( if it has a broil burner). Hope that helps

the oven flame seems to be to low, that flame most be at least 2 inches long. not counting the sides of flame from one side of the burner to the other, but from where the flame begins at the metal of the burner.
