I am trying to install compaq ij650 printer to my computer and the the only choices for compaq printers on my computer are ij600 and ij700. which one of those to printers would have compatible software for the ij650

Hi,

Don't think you need to worry about a internal computer problem at the moment. Chances are that it is a dodgy disk.

First thing to do is to download the driver file fron the manufacturer's website. The fact that it detected your printer suggests that it is not likey to be a connection issue.

If you download the driver and it still does not detect the device, disconnect the printer, restart the PC, then run the installation program that you downloaded and then connect the printer when prompted.

If this does not work, suggest you try a different usb port in your computer and try again.

Finally it could be a software problem so you could recover the pc back to its factory settings with your recovery discs. Only when that does not work should you think about it being a printer or pc hardware problem.

Note that you could try connecting the printer to a different pc to test whether it is the pc or printer at fault.

I bought a new compaq desk top computer and tried to connect with my hp color laser jet 2550n printer. I have windows 7 so I had to install compatible drivers.. It will print but only black & white...


.1.please ensure the color settings of your printer properties in your computer.

2.check the print driver preferences...There may be a setting checked off for Greyscale

3.also ensure the settings in printer

till now problem will be not solved then,

4.uninstall the printer and install again.

note: while you are inslalling the priinter,You do not on the printer;automatically printer software says to ON the printer ,Then you willl on it.

Will a IJ1200 printer work with a compaq presario 5000? We are small church..whose printer IJ600 stopped working and we see a Ij1200 on-line at ebay. Betty


It's not an issue of your computer, but rather your operating system. If you're running XP, Vista, or 7, it should not be a problem. Just download the drivers for this model from HP.com and it will identify the printer.

Can't install a printer.


install chipset drivers for the system, check cable, if it is USB, check in the device manager, proper drivers instaled, confirm, then proceed for instalation of the printer, it will works

I have got a problem with my printer hp photosmartc4180 series it wont let me print i try different situations now i have contacted hp they say it needs cleaning by compaq


What happens when you try to print?
1. When you try to print do you see the printer icon on the taskbar? (lower right)
2. Do you see the printer in your printers folder?(start/settings/control panel/ printers) Might need installed
3. Is the printer your default printer? (right click on the printer in the above area and select "set as default printer")
4. Is it plugged in, turned on and plugged into your computer?
5. Has the software been installed or recently updated?

How do I get my Kodak Easy Share Printer #7330 to print pictured from my Compaq computer?


first install the printer onto the computer, downloading the drivers or using printer disk.
If your printer is already installed on your computer and working you do not need to install it , skip this step.

Then download pictures onto computer, using USB cable.

open downloaded picture by double clicking with left mouse button.
Once you open the picture with picture viewer open file menu and chose print, or click the small printer sign.

If you use oprint preview iit may be easier for you to change printer settings to print the pictures.

Printing Error


Try this:

1. Power off the printer
2. After re-boot: click start, control panel, printers & faxes and delete the printer.
3. Re-install the printer with the original driver disc.
There are many suggested solutions to spool problems but try this first. If this does not work we'll go to the other solutions.

Printer not printing from computer


Hello:

To resolve this situation try the following:

1) re-install a driver. Goto HP.com and download a anew driver. COmpletly uninstall the old one.

2) Force your deskjet to run a self test...disconnect the cable from the PC...power off the unit...hold down the print button...turn unit back on.

3) try a new cable

4) Download a manual here
