I own a Canon powershot

I own a Canon powershot A560 7.1 mp camera and every time I download my photos they all download at only 180 dpi. No matter what resolution setting I have the camera set to. Just wondering if you know what I need to change on my camera or download software to have my photos download to at least 400 - 600 dpi. Thanks. Nate
