The Blue CRT has shorted and shutting the set down. You can verify this by simply sliding the Blue CRT drive board off the neck without unplugging any of its wires, Just let it hang suspended and then try powering up the set. If the set stays on you will know the Blue CRT needs replacement.
G2 = screen...On the screen controls behind the front grill, behind the hardboard. 6 pots, 2 rows of 3 pots. 3 for focus and 3 for screens. 1 for each of the the red, green and blue guns/crts.
To adjust: Run set, change to black screen with tv/video button. Dial each screen clockwise untill you see a color. Then counterclockwise slowly untill that color goes black, then stop. Do this for all 3 screen controls.
If you need to adjust the focus then bring up lettering. I use the QVC channel for this. Focus is done by eye.
You have a bad blue picture tube. If you replace it the red and green will be weak and probably go sooner than you think. Everytime I had to replace a tube in a sony projo tv i had to replace all 3 picture tubes at the same time. It's very expensive if you don't have any type of warranty coverage.
NEVER BUY SONY AGAIN. WE HAVE SAME TV, NOT EVEN 2 YEARS OLD, AND IT IS IN MY DINING ROOM TAKING UP SPACE AND COLLECTING DUST WHILE WE WATCH OUR NEW BIG SCREEN IN LIVING ROOM....KP-WS57500 IS A FAULTY TV AND SONY SHOULD GIVE EVERYONE THEIR MONEY BACK. THATS WHY YOU CANT BUY THE LIGHTS FOR THEM, CAUSE THEY ARE NO GOOD SO SONY DISCONTINUED THEM. SONY SUCKS
