This document is for Norton 2006 products. If you have a different product, please go to our main document and choose the product that you have. Then follow the steps in that document.
If you have more than one Norton product, be sure to get the product key, CD or installation file for each product that you want to reinstall before running the Norton Removal Tool.
STEP 2 Save your Product Key
If your Norton 2006 product came pre-installed on your computer, and you are using a limited subscription of 30, 60 or 90 days, you do not have a product key.
If you need to get your product CD or installation file, contact your vendor. Once you have your product CD or installation file, then return here and continue with STEP 3 below.
If the product is currently not installed on your computer, check the Product Key at the back of the CD sleeve, or in the confirmation email that you received from Symantec for your download purchase. Once you write down the Product Key, go to STEP 3.
1 Open your Norton product. 2 In the upper-right corner of the main product window, click Help & Support > Norton Account. 3 Choose one of the following depending on what your product Status is:
Here Save the file to the Windows desktop.2 On the Windows desktop, double-click the Norton Removal Tool icon. 3 Follow the on-screen instructions. Your computer may be restarted more than once, and you may be asked to repeat some steps after the computer restarts.
