Question about Televison & Video

Open Question

Thomson Intuiva 27LB130S5 TV - keeps switching itself on and off intermitently. Will go for weeks without doing this then does it continuously over the space of an hour or so. Any ideas??

    Exactly the same thing has started with my 32", got to the stage now where it repeatedly switches on and off every 2 seconds.

    Me have the same problem i switching on and of for like 5 or more times and after a wile it will keep on but i want to solve the problem ?? any ideas

there is only a loosed part at the printed circuit board. try to open the back cover of your tv but be sure to unplug it before doing this, then try to unplug then plug the connectors in the power supply part but be sure to remember each location of the connector.

My samsung 46 in dlp tv keeps shutting itself off. anyone have any idea?


check the lamp door switch jump it out and try it. the contacts sometimes get oxidation and becomes intermitant.

I have a RCA L32WD12 that suddenly turned off and on by itself. Now it will not turn on at all. The red power light is on, but the tv will not come on with remote or manually.


There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
