When turned on camera beeps 3 times & the zoom

Does it take standard disposable batteries or a rechargeable pack?
If the first, check they are inserted correctly as per the illustration in the battery compartment or instruction manual section on inserting batteries.
If the second type, recharge the pack.
If problem continues check Troubleshooting section of manual or online at Samsung's website.

Error code S0042, DIMAGE G600

The S0042 error code relates to a problem with the zooming mechanism (lens would not retract or extended)
Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. Let me know if it worked!

Machine clicks when turned on and focus is stuck. it sounds like focus gears aren't meshing properly

hi, Zoom/Focus Error occurs when there the lenses are not able to move and something is obstructing the movement like some dust or sand grains etc., to dislodge the obstructing particles try tapping the lense side corner of the camera on a table top lightly (not too hard please, as the lense and autofocus combination is quite fragile) a couple of times in switch off mode and trying to power on after every 2-3 taps.

hope this helps
cheers

or you might send it out to a service centre, the charges are generally just the serviceing charges as no new parts needed.

I HAVE A SONY DIGITAL CAMERA DSC T-20 AND HAVING AN ERROR MESSAGE E:61:10 PLEASE SEND ME HOW I CAN SOLVE THIS PROB LEM

Hello and Welcome

The symptoms of this error is
  • After pressing the power button in capture mode, the lens would extend and a slight humming from what appeared to be the auto focus motor could be heard for about 5 seconds. When the motor stopped humming, the camera would beep and display E:61:00 in the LCD Screen.
  • Camera would extend the lens but not be able to focus on anything past 8 inches or so.
  • Zoom in and zoom out would not work.
  • Playback mode and the Setup mode was not affected.
To solve this
Put the camera about a half inch from a hard surface.
Let the lense go out and hit the surface and retract a little bit. Let it go out all the way when it tries the next time.
If that doesnt fix it, try this:
Turn it on and let the lense go out fully
See where the lens comes out of the camera? The little round crack that surrounds it? Wiggle the lense a bit and blow in there a bit. (Be sure not to blow on the lense!)

Now turn it off/on again, and it should be fixed

Zoomes lense wont come back in and the camera beeps 3 times and shuts off when you try to turn it on.

I would check the batteries and also try to reset the camera.
If that doesn't work, the camera needs to be sent back to Samsung.com for repairs.

My camera lense is stuck and my camera wont turn on

hi...The transmission system that moves the lens in and out has a problem with it's gears. There is most likely a gear or an actuator that has fallen out of alignment and is getting stuck at a certain point as the lens comes in/out.There is some disturbacnce of the lens arrangement that is preventing the lens from coming in/out.Any of these symptoms above could trigger the camera to shut itself off to protect itself from further damage.

Beeps 3 times

Is it an actual beep, or is it a beeping noise coming from the lens? Does the lens extend? I ask this because this is the noise the lens focus gears make when they are knocked out of alignment, or debris gets in them and jams them.
