Whirlpool LHW0050PQ Front Load Washer

After washing the washer will not go into the rinse or spin cycle but if I put it in the spin cycle manually it will work, and if I put it in rinse cycle manually it will not work. Would the problem be a control switch or the circuit board?

I have a similar problem. The washer will sometimes start the wash cycle but even at the best of times only seems to get about half way through and then switches to done. It never gets to the rinse or spin. I can manually set it to rinse and some water will pour over the clothes but it doesn't tumble them like it used to and then stops before getting to spin. Even if set on spin it won't.

I am now experiencing the same problem. The washer will go through a wash cycle but won't drain or spin out. My neighbors had the same issue and had to have all the boards replaced which seems to have fixed the issue for now. We all have washers that are less than a year old and are the LHW0050PQ. I've had the pump replaced but that still won't drain the water.

washer does not spin when it reaches that part of the cycle. sometimes the cycle timer needs to be moved manually.

The washer works fine till it reaches the spin cycle and never reaches "done". It will spin (without clothes), but still never reaches done, also I hear the pump motor running. Finally, I did check the water filter and it was clean (no lint, particles, etc).

will not go past rinse cyce unless I manually set it to spin and drain. Lost water the other day and followed the reset instructions (EXCEPT DID NOT UNPLUG)! What should be done?

I have a 2 yr old GE front load and had the same issues. I solved it by cleaning out the drain filter. (It is not listed anywhere in the manual) It was behind the bottom front panel. It looked like a plastic gas cap. I unscrewed it and it was filled with a huge amount of lint, tweezers, change and all other junk from my kids pockets. Apparently if the washers have to much water in them they will not spin out due to the weight. Once the drain was cleared out and the water was free to drain it worked like brand new.

Basically, the machine you have is garbage! - I have one also, It is less than one year old and the repair folks have been out 5 times. It doesn't spin either!
I'd call this one a lemon!

SOURCE: Whirlpool Front Load Washer (LHW0050PQ) not spinning

Use a quarter inch nut driver to remove the bottom panel. A tech sheet should be under there that will give diagnostics. Open the pump filter and check for objects.616c06e.jpgea4423e.jpgfb90284.jpg

Whirlpool washer won't rinse or spin w/o manually turning knob

It is most likely that you have a faulty water inlet valve. Some machines have a seperate valve for rinse to flush in a fabric softener I suspect that your detergent flushing valve is faulty.....Good luck Nomess

Wash doesn't go through full cycle

I have a Maytag model A490 clothes washer. It works fine up to the rinse cycle and then shuts down. When it reaches this point it has become necessary to manually advance the dial a short ways whereupon it will fill with water and complete the rinse and spin cycles. This happens on both the regular and the permanent press cycles. What needs to be done to fix this problem?

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

WILL NOT CYCLE FROM WASH TO RINSE

You have to check your filter for any block. Then put in some water & try to spin it out; if the water does not flow out easily you have to look into your pump, could be a block in there. Refer to user's manual.
