I updated bios and after restarting it is not working any more

It can especially if the bios update didn't take properly. If you can update the bios agaion, and make sure you have the right bios for it. Sometimes people see features in another motherboard that they want so they say "hey if i just use this bios, etc." doesn't work. If not take it to a shop and have them do it foe you. They should have the right tools.

No video displayed after updating bios

Yes, it is true and common. Anytime you update bios, also find the method for resetting/undoing the bios update.
go to the mobo mfg website and find how to reset the bios. This usually involves removing the battery, and jumpering the reset.
The reset may not reset/undo the update, but simply reset the bios to defaults.
Depending on the bios type the restore may vary.

Bios update

I doubt that a bios update. 99.9% of all bios don't need to be updated. The most common causes of lockups are video or ram memory related problems. More information is needed to correctly diagnose the problem here such as Operating system, what you're doing at the time of the lockups, what kind of hardware you have in your computer and what kind of software you're running. Also need to know if this is a new system or has it been running for a while before this started. You can also try downloading and running this diagnostic but you'll need a system with a CD writer to create this disc. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2008.09.utilityspotlight.aspx?pr=blog

T60 after Bios Update to Ver. 2.22 no Video

I do not know if this will work
1)open case
2) check motherboard for word which will say reset bios or words to that effect nearby will be a small 2 or 3 pin connector with the 2 pin remove the jumper from 1 pin and fit over both reboot and turn off straight away refit jumper back over 1 pin and reboot see what happen it may work
with 3 pin setup jumper will already be over 2 pin remove and fit over middle and the other pin remove reboot etc
Usually a failed bios update is more often than not fatal
hope this works for you if it does post favorable rating thanks
