Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have a Loitech Webcam 3000. It is installed (previously) and plugged into a USB port. I cannot figure out how to turn the webcam on. It had a black button on the top, but nothing happens when I push on it. The light does not come on (red light on camera) and my Logitech Camera Control folder does not appear to see the camera. What should I do? I am on a Macintosh computer with 10.4.11 system. Jim

How to install my microsoft lifecamVX-1000 inorder to chat my friends with web cam?

to chat with ur friends u will need the foll:
WebCam, Mic, and Speakers.
Alss u will need to have either Yahoo Msgr, or MSN Mgr etc
u need to connect the Webcam using the USB port and once the Webcam is detected by your OS (i assume u use Windows) u may have to install the driver for the Webcam(the CD that came along with the Webcam will have the driver)
inster the CD in the CDR/DVD drive and let the machine install the device....once it's doen u r set

Mic and Speakers r normally Plug and Play devices and they just need to be connected to PC/Laptops sound card/Mic ports in you machine and they will automaticaly work.

Can't make webcam work on Acer Travelmate 4500

This sounds like a USB issue. Not all USB ports on laptops are created equal (they should be but they are not) some usb ports supply enough voltage and current to run usb items properly and some dont. It is always better to run direct from the computer / laptops ports .

If you cant do this then use a HUB but make sure the HUB HAS IT"S OWN POWER SUPPLY !

Also make sure you always use the same port and swapping them around does not always work for all hardware.

Webcam

Hello,

For pluging the Webcam you need to have USB ports.
You need to install the latest service pack available for your OS
You had to install the USB 2.0 drivers for supporting the cam
Install the drivers of the Webcam
Restart the System
Now Plug the webcam usb connector to any port of the motherboard

Let me know if your problem is solved and rate me as FIXYA!
