Gateway Notebook performance

Hi, My mother-in-law recently bought a Gateway Notebook at Best Buy. We expected it to be slow -- she only needs it for email -- and it was. Now, a couple of months later, it's so slow it's virtually unusable. It seems to be loaded with a bunch of non-essential programs that keep popping up. What's the best way to clean this up and get it running at a reasonable speed? Will Best Buy re-image?

You should remove unneccesary programs cause they can cause your computer to slow down. Run a virus check because it might also be infected with these critters..
