Lexmark X73 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Lexmark X73 just stopped working totally (by 7 users)

posted by thomasteach on Apr 14, 2008

Had a paper jam; now printer light just blinks and nothing works. I've tried everything in the troubleshooting guide. No buttons on it work at all; not even the paper feed. The cartridges are stuck to the right and won't move. When turning it off and back on, it hesitates for a few seconds, makes a short noise, and goes back to a blinking green light. There is no communication with it from my computer at all either, but that makes sense since it won't even work manually. It it shot or can it be reset somehow? Thanks, Tom
I have the same problem.

When I try to print the paper only goes in half way. The ink cartradges are moving but the paper isn't. There is communication between the printer and my computer but the paper continues to jam.

REMOVED PAPER AND REINSTALLED
UNPLUGGED PRINTER & COMPEUTER THEN RECONNECTED SAME
SOMETIMES IT WILL SCAN BUT NOT PRINT --M MOSTLY IT STATES THAT THE COMPEUTER CAN NOT READ THE SCANNER AS ATTACHED
PRINTER IS HOOKED TO PORT 001

I also have this same problem. I have rebooted the computer, unpluged the printer and plugged back in. I have even uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it again ending with the same results. The status light continues to blink. The scanner won't even work. It says "cannot enable the scanner". Is it junk?

We have just encountered the same problem! The status light continues to blink and the cartridges remain stuck to the right side, just as described by others. The printer has served us well for about 5 years now, but suddenly refuses to get out of this state. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

I was printing a homework assignment from my professor, I received an error message that something may be invalid with what he sent. I tried to print and everthing just jammed, the cartridges are stuck to the right and noting will move. I have turned it on and off and even unplugged it from the Computer, but when restarted nothing still happens there is still no communication with my omputer. Is it shot or can still use it? Thanks Rebbec
