Here's a link to complete instructions to repair your washer. You may require a special tool to remove the installed pump. Click on the small pictures at the end of the page to view the detailed instructions. Here's the link;
If you are getting this code it is because your washing machine has tried for at least ten minutes to drain the water out of the machine. The most likely cause of this problem is that you have a plugged pump filter or you have something stuck in the pump filter.Make sure that you unplug your washing machine.To clean out the pump filter you must empty the washing machine water. The best way to do this is to manually drain the water into a low bucket or basin. Then lay a towel down to catch to remaining small amount of water. Remove the pump filter, clean out any debris, and wash out the filter. Then plug your washer back in and restart the washing machine.Check that your machine is properly leveled. A washer that is too far out of level may not drain properly. Make sure that you are level front to back as well as side to side.This solution will solve your problem Thank You !!
Remove and inspect the drain pump. (access is from the bottom of the washer once you remove all screws holding the pump housing in the front) If no debris found when removing pump or pump impeller is damaged - replace. PArt number 4681EA2001D. If found debris when removing the pump - reassemble and check again. Good luck.
Hiya,
you can find spares for this machine on espares i think the gasket will be a universal one but here is a link for you to check http://www.espares.co.uk/parts/lg/p/0/81?k=wm2277hw+door+gasket
Please note i have not used this site before but i have noticed that they will deliver to most countrys & im sure they will be able to help with a fitting tool issue if you contact them.
either drain pump itself is broken or something jammed in between the pump housing and pump impellor. the drain hose itself or pump cleanout cup (behind lower left access panel) may be clogged too.
I took the entire washing machine apart. I checked the drain pump as the repair service said I needed a new one, as well as a rear and front drum, shocks rear bearing assembly. Would you believe the only thing wrong with the unit was that the drain pump was clogged at both ends. Machine is running fine and not throwing the LE Code. The repair service (LG recommended dealer) should be shot for telling me to throw out the unit.
