Question about Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 for PC

1 Answer

Deleted emails I might sound paranoid but I really feel like someone deleted my email. A few days ago I wrote responses on youtube to a video that was saying protesters in tibet are lying and that china is really the good guy. I very adamantly disaggred in a large number of posts. A few days later I recieved emails telling me of numerous responses to my posts, directing me to the same youtube discussion/video page. I clicked on one and it took me to the page, nothing strange happened. Then a day later I tried a different one only this time Internet Explorer initiated the 'phishing' process making it load incredibly slowly. Not knowing enough about phishing I turned it off but the page coninued to load VERY slowly. After waiting for a long time I decided to give up and close Internet Explorer. At this point it didn't close but instead created a new window which worried me. I tried to close this new window but it just opened another. Then it just kept opening new windows over and over in an endless loop, layering over eachother until there were 20 of them. I panicked and shut down internet explorer through the ctrl alt del option (task manager) and it shut down. I disconnected and switched off the computer. When I started it again it was fine but I thought i'd check everything was fine online too. When I checked my email EVERYTHING was gone including the you tube posts. I'd checked my email 5 minutes before and it was all intact and I'm sure iit was wiped by this 'dodgey' you tube link. My email still seems to recieve OK but I'm worried. Will my email be OK Is there anything strange on my computer Have you heard of anything like this before

Google chrome apps and extensions were deleted

well the easiest thing to do is sync your browser w/your email address. if you haven't done this, there's really no way to restore it unless you do it manually. to sync google chrome to your email do this:
go to the wrench icon @ the top right.
go to options
click the 'personal stuff' tab on the left
the first option is to sync your account, follow the setup instructions.
If you have already done this, there's a button to resync all your settings. good luck!!

I accidentally deleted emails out of my archived

You may look to see if they are in the deleted files or the recycling bin in the program. If so there should be an option to recover then, whether it is a click or a drag on the file to move it.

if you wish to empty ur deleted items completely

1. create a folder in outlook named "temp"
2. goto tools-> options-> maintenance and see the location of stored folder
3. goto that location
4. close outlook express
5. delete the "Deleted Items.dbx"
6. make a copy of temp.dbx
7. rename copy of temp.dbx to "Deleted Items.dbx"
