Ib not recognisizing pics on sd card

Most digital cameras have a small internal memory and an expandable one (SD card). Are the pictures actually stored on the card or in camera memory? If on the card then I suggest a card reader device, if on the camera you need to connect the camera to your computer via its USB cable to access them, unless there is a way to transfer them to the memory card (not all cameras can do this).

Hi I've had an olympus SP-800Uz for a year and from one moment to the other the IB program installed on my PC will not open. I can't transfer new pictures nor see the ones stored in the IB...

Best thing to do is to un-install and re-install the Olympus ib program.
If problems exists to continue, you might want to consider installing
another free and better Olympus program, the Olympus Viewer 2.

I have OLYYMPUS SP-800UZ model, i'm not able to transfer pics from the inbuilt camera memory. how can i get those pics

1. You should be able to transfer the pictures after connecting the camera to the PC.
A removable USB device or SP800 labeled entry should be visible.
2. Use the Windows Explorer to copy the pictures.

Or you can use the installed Olympus ib software to copy them.

If the software is not installed any more, it still might be on the camera's internal memory (setup.exe)
If not, The ib software you can find here and alternative and better Olympus Viewer software here.

My computer won't import my pictures anymore, tried to relink it not having any luck

If the computer recognizes the camera when the USB cable is connected,
you can try the DATA REPAIR option in the camera menu (see manual page 41).
After that, you can try the repair database option in the Olympus ib program.

When this does not help, re-install the ib program (it is on the internal memory
of the camera, if you did not format or delete it earlier). If you made a backup,
of the cameras internal memory, re-install the ib program from that backup.

An alternative is to install another free and better Olympus Viewer program.

I can't transfer my pictures from my camera to my computer

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I just bought an olympus fe47 in late jan 2011, ive noticed a small black spot on the screan. when you take pictures it shows up on the picture itself and on the computer when i upload them,i took it back...

Walmart have incorrectly informed you. You have dirt or damage on your ccd sensor and it is not possible to clean it without dismantling the camera. The fact that you believed walmart leads me to believe that you are very gullible. How old are you? Take it back to them, tell them it has not been right since you bought it and ask them to replace it.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

The pictures are in the internal memory? If so you need to purchase a memory card for that camera and transfer the internal memory pictures to the memory card and then you will be able to download them to the computer. Your camera takes a SD or a SDHC memory card make sure it's unlocked and formatted to the camera the instructions for formatting are in your manual
Here is a diagram to makes sure the switch on the SD card is in the unlock position

When i connect the camera to the computer, the pictures not showing up in the events or any other section. i want to store it on a flash drive and i cant get it store.

If the camera is recognized by your computer (as a Removeable USB device) and if you are using the Olympus [ib] software, the probable cause is Olympus [ib] software related. You can try to repair the created picture database using the Data Repair option in the camera menu (see the manual page 41).
An alternative is to use a SD / SDHC card to put your pictures on and transfer them using the card reader in the computer. It is also possible to transfer taken pictures from the cameras internal memory to a placed SD / SDHC card in the camera (see the manual page 41).
