How to enable the 4-way scroll button on Acer Aspire 5610 Series?

Synaptics touchpad. This is generally down by the clock (TSR program) or within All Programs. In there you can Enable side (horizontal) scroll on the touch pad as well as vertical scroll and scrolling speed.

I have recently downgraded an Acer Aspire 5315 from vista to xp. I've downloaded the drivers and got everything working except the speakers and touch pad? What can i do?

if the speakers and touch pad were working under Vista then the devices are OK and the audio and touch pad driver which you install may not be the correct XP versions.
Check the Device manager to see if these devices are working and enabled. If not try and upgrade and or download the XP drivers for these devices.

My touch pad is not functioning

Many laptops with a touch pad have a almost non-existant button at the top border of the pad, feel for it, you need to push hold and release to turn on and off, perhaps this is your easy fix. Good Luck!
