After moving to a new location, the power light is no longer indicating power and there is no power to the other components. I have disassembled the subwoofer back and all three fuses on the board are fine. There is AC power to the board, but not after the converter.

Same problem. No ON light after being unplugged for 2 months. Fuses OK. I have no clue what can be wrong with it.

Please help, I have the same problem. Very frustrating!  Moved it to a new location and now nothing.  I was very gentle with the move.

I have several of these units due to being a liquidation seller, and the MOST common problem is the subs not getting any power. Next is CD Player Dying, and 3rd, unit powering, but not sending info BACK to the sub.

In any case the issue with the subwoofer is rarely the fuses. It's further up the line. So far every unit we have checked the transformer was the culprit. If you are handy, by all means replace the transformer and you're better to go.

I am unable to find the owners manual for the Teac MC-DV100 SuybWoofer

For almost any set-top box, there isn't a sub-woofer output. Without that output (it would be labeled on the STB), you can't hook up a subwoofer directly to it.

HOWEVER, the model number you give isn't just a subwoofer: it's a whole sound system with a subwoofer attached to it. If you have the whole sound system, you just hook the STB's audio output to the amplifier's "Aux Input" (it might also be called "line input").

If your model doesn't have that (can't tell from the web), you'd have to buy an "AV Receiver" that has at least a 5.1 set of outputs. These start at maybe $150 new, $50 on eBay. MAKE SURE YOU BUY A RECEIVER WITH A "powered" SUBWOOFER OUTPUT!! You connect the receiver to the STB, and the subwoofer to the receiver.

Can I connect an active speaker to the Teac AG d7900 output

http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-184407791-av-digital-home-theater-receiver-teac-ag-d7900-_JM

It would have helped to know something morwe about the 'active' speaker.I imagine its manual would tell you what it needs for input.

Active speakers are usually designed to be driven by volume-controlled Line Level inputs. This receiver has none except for the Subwoofer PRE Output.

On the back of the receiver, there could be "pre out-subwoofer". If your subwoofer has the same type cable input, that would indicate it is a powered(amplified) sub. Connect those two. If subwoofer only has red/black speaker inputs, it is a passive sub, which means spkr signal runs thru it and then to your main left and right spkrs.. Run your receiver main or front spkr left (red/black) and right (red/black) to those corresponding sub inputs, and then sub spkr outputs to each of your main left/right spkrs..

For surround, on the back of the receiver, there should be spkr outputs (red/black) noted as "rear".

Just make sure red to red, and black to black.

Hope this is helpful.

My TEAC AG-7D turns on for about a second but then turns off

There is a problem in the final stages of the amplifier section that the protection circuits are detecting. They then shutdown the unit to prevent further damage. The most likely candidates are the output transistors. This is a relatively simple repair for an audio shop. Expect a parts cost between $20-$45.

I have the same-just talked to TEAC last week, if fuses(two 5 amp glass ones inside housing-just remove screws on back after un-plugging 120v power) on the LSR-1008 subwoofer are blown, it may be failed relays. I replaced my fuses, both blew w/in 5 seconds. Called TEAC today, relays are NOT available alone and are solder connected; however, complete new circuit board is plug in, part #APE000515-0001 at $47.69 plus shipping. Verify #s and price with TEAC, but now I must decide if it's important to keep this sub, or if another at around 60$ on Ebay is a better bet. Good luck!

id try a universal remote to check if its just the remote. If it turns out to be just the remote you can usually order an original replacement for fairly cheap.. if that doesn't work its most likely the IR receiver on the receiver itself.

Thanks,
