Hi mate this is in the wrong category but i have an elu flip saw and to remove the guard you take your blade off and guide bush and remove the circlip and the guard pops off but u need to make notes on where the guard return spring fits through a hole on guard so as to replace, and remove the bolt with the screw driver slot in and washer / spacer to detatch the folding arm inside the guard, i will check mine and jog my memory then get back to u,does yours have a duel size bush for different blade diameters / centres. Any guard blade for a saw miter

Yes, Did you buy it new? It has two heavy plastic seen through plate that are attached to each other. This safety shield is gravity fed. That mean as one pull down the saw the safety guard will pivot into the upper shield. As the saw go back up after cutting a piece of wood. The safety shield will drop back into it safety position covering the 12" blade. GB...stewbsion

PAG2200D angle grinder has 2 guards. One is a half guard, the other covers both sides of disc. Which one is used for grindins, which for cutting?

The double sided guard is the one for cutting and the single sided one is to allow you ot use the flat side of the disc for grinding. (Do not use cutting discs for grinding, on these discs use only the very edge of the disc and always wear protective eyewear and gloves. Never allow the stationary machine to rest on the disc, lay to rest with the disc facing upwards and disconnect the power lead when replacing discs etc. These are very dangerous power tools and should be treated extremely carefully).

Do you need to keep grinding guard on when using a cup wire wheel on the grinder?

Hello, W/D here.

It's always a wiser choice to leave the guard on to help keep particles from being slung at you.
In addition to the guard, you should also wear eye protection. I have extensive experience in industrial work, and I cannot emphasize strongly enough how important this is. Where I worked, working with a wire wheel required that the guard be in place and that the operator wear safety glasses and a face shield. An eye injury is one of the most serious accidents that can be easily avoided.
Best regards, and work safely, --W/D--

I can get the guard on but when lowering saw to cut the guard does not go up when lowering to cut.

Howdy, there is a slide rail on the side that has to be connected to the correct spot and unfortunately there are a few incorrect ways that look good on assembly, but don't function well. I would never Recommend Removing The Guard All Together and using safety glasses religiously, because that would be irresponsible of me, but it is the most popular action in the professional building community. Blade guards are spring loaded so they will not stay up unless you hold it up manually

How do I change the safety cover on the bosch 3912 part no. (2610990523) ?

Three screws need to be removed, one that holds the end of the lever to the guard, and the two inside the guard that holds the guard to the arm housing. Pay attention to which screw goes where as they are not all the same.

Once this comes off, you may have to remove the tab washer and spring and spring washer from the old safety cover, unless your replacement comes with this already attached to it. Pay attention to how the spring and tab washer are situated before you remove them so that you can put it back together properly.

Then reassemble the parts in reverse order. You may also need to switch the pivot in the center of the safety cover and the roller on the bottom edge if these parts are not with your replacement saftey cover.

I'm trying to figure out if I need to hold the lower blade guard up while the saw is running...there is no lock for it

No you do not need to holde the lower blade guard up. It should be spring loaded and move upward as it engages to piece being cut. depending on what you are cutting, you may need to hold it up to start the cut, but then it can be let back down while cutting. It is a safety feature designed to keep as much of the blade covered as possible during use.

Lost combination Safe Guard Digital Safe

I used to work for a safe company.
The solution to your problem is not nice.
You need to find someone with a 9 inch grinder and a metal cutting blade.
Don't bother to try to cut the door off it is the strongest part.
If possible cut the back off. If not possible to get to the back start with the hinges if you know where they are, some hinges are concealed and are not where they appear to be.
This solution is messy dirty noisy and dangerous, that's what safes do to deter criminals.
If safe companies kept generic codes to open any kind of safe they wouldn't be,,,,,,,,,,,,,safe.

Trimer buing Question

Double position trimmers For extended reach while on the ground, a double position trimmer avoids you having to climb up high by allowing you to adjust the handle into a right angle to the blades for a level cut across the top of the hedge. Clippings collector As you trim your hedge, collect those stray cuttings in a clippings collector for a neater finish. Automatic cut out An important safety feature, this automatically switches off the hedge trimmer once the trigger is released. Hand guard For reassuring safety, a hand guard will protect you from the moving blades and from falling cuttings as you work.
