Zune vs iPod Touch, Which one is better?

<a href="http://ipadconverterformacclub.blogge.rs/files/2011/02/zune-hd-vs-ipod-touch.jpg"><img src="zune-hd-vs-ipod-touch-300x249.jpg" /></a><br /> Zune or iPod Touch? Which is better? Are you confused of choosing iPod Touch or Zune? Here we list several features by comparing <a href="http://www.ipod-to-mac.com/ipod-tips/zune-vs-ipod-touch.html">Zune vs iPod Touch</a>. Zune and iPod Touch has their own advantages and disadvantages respectively. Read on to know more.<br /> Zune vs iPod Touch on Price<br /> The two players only match up head-to-head in the 32GB size, where Apple's iPod sells for $299 and the Zune HD sells for $290, and almost-negligible price difference for most folks debating between the two. Apple's top-shelf 64GB player sells for $399, but Microsoft offers no comparable Zune HD in that capacity. Although Apple has the cheapest entry-level model, we have to hand the price war victory to Microsoft, which has managed to skim just enough off the price to make non-Apple-devotees look twice before leaping.<br /> Winner: Microsoft Zune.<br /> Zune vs iPod Touch on Display<br /> The generous 3.5-inch screen on Apple's iPod Touch has long made it the de facto player of choice for on-the-go video, but Microsoft set out to challenge that lead with the Zune HD. Not by offering a bigger screen, but a better one. Although the Zune HD screen measures a slightly smaller 3.3 inches diagonally, it's uses cutting edge OLED technology, which delivers brightness and contrast unlike anything you can find in a LCD.<br /> Winner: Microsoft Zune.<br /> Zune vs iPod Touch on Battery Life<br /> No matter how small or how capable, a personal media player does no good if you're constantly running back to the wall to charge it, making battery life one of the most important specs that you'll never truly appreciate until you take a device into the field. In this department, Apple didn't have it half bad to begin with, boasting 30 hours of music playback and six hours of video playback for the iPod Touch. But Microsoft has one upped Apple here as well, claiming the Zune HD will deliver 33 hours of music and 8.5 hours of video.<br /> Winner: Microsoft Zune.<br /> Zune vs iPod Touch on App Support<br /> As iPod Touch owners can attest, the diversity of offerings in Apple's App Store makes the device as much a portable computer as it is a personal media player. You can create and edit calendars on it, surf the Web, and even find nearby places to eat with Google Maps and its built-in GPS.<br /> If the App Store is leafy oak tree, full of 75,000 apps and counting, Microsoft's app offering is a seedling starving for water. At launch, Microsoft offers only six apps, including a few games and some basic utilities like a weather app and calculator.<br /> Winner: Apple iPod Touch.<br /> From comparison Zune vs iPod Touch, Apple's iPod Touch remains the reigning champion of the touch screen. For someone with no interesting in piddling around with apps, looking solely for the ultimate personal media player, the Zune HD truly makes a better buy.<br /> As iPod touch user, I think you would be interested in following topics:<br /> <a href="http://www.ipod-to-mac.com/">ipod to mac</a><br /> <a href="http://www.ipod-to-mac.com/guides/transfer-music-from-ipod-to-ipod.html">transfer music from ipod to ipod</a><br /> <a href="http://www.ipod-to-mac.com/guides/transfer-songs-from-ipod-to-itunes.html">How to transfer Songs from iPod to iTunes</a><br />

step1. put it in the freezer for 1 hr
step 2. remove from freezer and allow to come to room temp
step3. plug in and recharge fully

Pc will not detect zune...

You may have to reset the zune device to factory default settings and reload...

Try this....
Reset Zune: Press and hold the back button while pressing up on the control pad.
Connect Zune to a power source: If the Zune device is in sleep mode, this action will wake the Zune device and turn it on. If the battery does not have a charge, you may have to wait several minutes for the Zune device to turn on.

Also, make sure that the hold button on top of your zune is turned to the off position.

Hope this helps!

How to download music to zune ipod

Can't. Not possible. Won't happen.
Besides, it's a Zune, not an iPod.
Y'all gotta download the massive Zune software and install it before you can do anything with your Zune. Heck, even Microsoft's own Media Player won't work with it. Go figure...

Can i hook a surround sound to my zune

It is usually as simple as getting a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA adapter, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3359117 (this will work just fine, even though it says 'ipod')

Or they have "Zune Ready" adapter kits, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3004031

Once you have the cable, you stick the headphone plug (3.5 mm stereo mini-phono) into the headphone jack on your Zune, then you insert the red and white RCA jacks into an open input on your surround receiver... most have an auxilliary input jack set on the front of the unit. All you need to do at this point is select the "aux input" for the source on the surround receiver, start your Zune, and make sure the volume on the Zune is somewhere in the 50 - 75% range, and you should be good to go.

30 gig zune (white)

yes, it can be fixed. rapidrepair.com offers replacement screens for 89.99 and will even replace it themselves if you decide to send it in to them. at this point in time, you might be better off buying a new zune 30 (considering i got a brown one for my sister for about 60 off amazon over Christmas) or just saving up for an 80.

Zune does not work

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged

Make sure the OS is compatible

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

30 gb ipod not connecting to computer.

If nobody has figured out this problem or if anybody else is having the same problem I have a solution that could possibly work. I had the same problem so I right clicked My Computer and went to Properties. Click on the Hardware tab, and then click on Device Manager. Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus controllers look for anything that may have a yellow exclamation point. Mine said something like Apple Ipod Driver or something along those lines. Right click that and click Update Driver... Then click Next and it should update it for you and work fine. Hopefully this will help anybody that is having this problem.
