Since it is a laptop keyboard in question it is likely that computer is permanently destroyed especially if a lot of tea has penetrated within the laptop casing. There's possibility that certain parts can be saved. All you can do is to call a repairman to check it out although I wouldn't hope that it will dry out and start working like nothing happened.

My daughter was working on her laptop last night and she said it wasnt working right so she shut it off and when she turned it back on the screen was black - I tried the f2 key last night trying to get it...

CPU more than likely went bad because of overheat. Its not worth fixing unless you KNOW you can do it yourself Laptops are a nightmare to work on
Just a suggestion but laptops are for people who MUST carry their PCs around. The do not have a long lifespan. Desktops are much more durable

A Quick And Easy Way To Clean Your Keyboard

"Studies show that computer keyboards have more bacteria than toilet seats."

With that statement, who would want to touch a keyboard?

But it happens; some how beer can be spilled over the keyboard and makes your hung-over Facebook up-loads the next day, a little sticky. It doesn't matter if its pop, green tea, peanut-butter and jelly sandwich filling, or just plane ol' dust and dirt, i will tell you the easiest way to get your keyboard looking like new!

The top rack of your home dishwasher will do wonders!
Heres what to do:
- unplug your board from your computer
- place the keybord on the top rack with buttons facing down, cord and all!
- only put in a small amount of dishwasher detergent
- put your dishwasher on a light setting, such as "China/Crystal"- Turn it on!
- wait until the dishwasher has completed its cycle, but make sure your dishwasher dose not go into its drying cycle, as the high heat could damage your keyboard.
- take it out and drain all excess water, and find a good spot to dry!
- Once dry, plug it back into your computer and enjoy your clean keyboard!!

I would not recommend this technique to users with displays on there keyboard as water may be able to get in behind the display and/or damage it.

If this was helpful please rate with a 4 thumbs up!! Thanks for using!!

My daughter spilled milk on my cpmputer screen

no, the damage is irreversible. You can have the LCD controller board change out which will resolve the pixelation. However, the cost of doing that outweight the value of the monitor.

My keybord is not the same. It has a very wide line

not sure what your on about, Most keybords now use PS2 connections, if your keybord has a big connection you will need an addaptor, you can get these the cheapest way is Ebay or Maplin stores on the high street

Hope that helps
