follow the steps below to reset the password:
1. Power off the computer and make sure that it is unplugged.

3. Find a circular, silver metallic object on the motherboard. This is the CMOS battery
4. CAREFULLY remove the CMOS battery and leave it out for about 120 seconds.

Forgot password on pp2140

When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator as user to log in if you cant log in

Restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

if this fails to remove your password

The most common way that we know on how to reset or clear the BIOS password is to physically remove the power from the computer by disconnecting the power plug and then removing the Cmos battery for 30 minutes from the motherboard.

Another way is to reset the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard itself.

Both of the 2 methods mentioned works because most motherboards use a battery to sustain the BIOS/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. So by cutting off cmos the battery power, the BIOS/CMOS settings will be erased.

click start control panel Open User Accounts in Control Panel. On the Users tab, click the name of the user whose password you want to change, and then click Reset Password. In New password and Confirm new password, type the new password, and then click OK. Notes You can change passwords only for local computer accounts, such as guest, administrator, or accounts you create for your computer. You cannot change your network logon password in User Accounts. To change your own password, press CTRL ALT DELETE and then click Change Password
also
if you are not the computer administrator and have not assigned a bios password during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there also click start control panel user accounts on the users tab, click the name of the computer administrator you must have full control can change the password there

hope this helps

Select the Safe Mode option using the up and down arrow keys, then press the ENTER key. Choose "Windows XP Home/Professional", depending on the version of the operating system.

Press ENTER. Shortly, the welcome screen should show.
Log in as "Administrator". Click Yes to not use System Restore Mode.

Click the Start button. Choose Run and type in "control user passwords" (without the quotes). Click OK.

If all else fails you may have to clear the BIOS password by resetting the RTC (Real Time Clock) IC (Integrated Circuit) on your motherboard

Many RTC's require an external battery. If your RTC is one of this type you can clear the BIOS password just by unsocketing the RTC and reseating it

Hope it helps

How to unlock my bios password?

Removing the CMOS battery like the one shown in the picture to the right will cause the system to loose all CMOS settings including the password. To do this locate and remove the CMOS battery on themotherboard for at least five-minutes. After this has been done put the battery back into the computer and turn it back on.
Jump the CMOS solder beads
Older computers and especially older laptops don't have jumpers or dipswitches and require the user to jump a pair of solder beads on a circuit board. The identification and location of these solder beads can vary and if not available in computer documentation is only obtainable through the computer manufacturer.
If you've identified the solder beads they can be jumped by placing a flat-head screwdriver over the two beads and leaving it on those beads while turning on the computer. Once the computer has booted turn off the computer and then remove the screwdriver.

To remove that password there are few steeps:

0. remove AC power
1. remove system battery (primary and multibay if present)
2. remove harddrive from harddrive bay
3. remove Multibay Devices from multibay
4. remove small round battery pill 3.3V, located under a cover on left side of touchpad. Remove cover gently (is no need to remove keyboard, but cover is removable with some power...) Delicate unplug small conector with cables leading to battery,
5. wait 5 minutes
6. connect AC power
7. Turn on computer unit (BIOS gets a few errors = date, time, mismatch etc. no need to panic, if everything is ok then get into computer setup pressing F10, change existing setup values as needed, if ok power down computer.
8. unplug AC power
9. Plug small battery into motherboard
10. install Hdd and multibay devices
