Clear bios password on acer aspire 722 2gb ram

look up a disassembly video for your laptop on youtube by typing your laptop model into the search bar followed by "disassembly". Only disasseble far enough to gain access to the button cell battery on the motherboard. Looks about like a shiny nickle. Remove the battery and reassemble the laptop without inserting the button cell battery. Before putting the main laptop battery back in or plugging it in, press the power button for about 10 seconds, then let the computer sit for about 2 minutes to make sure all power has drained from the laptop. Now put in the main laptop battery and start the computer up. You should now be able to enter the bios without entering the password. Remove or turn off the bios password, don't forget to save the settings before exiting the bios. Re - disassemble the laptop and re - insert the button cell battery and re- assemble the laptop. You should be good to go.

My apex Ld4068 will not power up and i have changed the fuse

take out the laptop battery and press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. This will discharge any electricity within the laptop. Before putting the battery back in plug in the laptop and attempt to power on. If the laptop powers up power it back down and put the battery back in. If the laptop doesnt power on after the battery is put back in then there is a short in your battery. Buy a new one. If the laptop never powers on fromt his process there is a short inside the laptop. Possibly from physical damage. Take it to your nearest computer repair shop (NOT GEEK SQUAD) and have them take a look at it.

Try resetting the BIOS,
1) Turn off the Laptop, remove the battery and unplug the power cable, press the power button to such the remaining power out.
2) Remove the centered back cover panel (square/rectangular section) to expose the internal board (DONT TOUCH ANYTHING)
3) Locate the cmos battery on the internal board (a medium sized battery coin (silver))
4) Remove that battery coin, turn over the laptop, plug in the power and start it up, after it says that the BIOS has been reset, turn it off.
5) Turn off the Laptop, remove the battery and unplug the power cable, press the power button to such the remaining power out.
6) Turn back over the laptop, put in the battery coin and screw the panel back onto the laptop, making sure its pressed in and is flush with the rest of the body. Put back in the screws for the panel.
7) Turn on the laptop.
It should not beep and work fine.

Cant operate bios after reformatting the unit

If you cannot operate the BIOS, the best way is to reset the CMOS battery which require a very good technician to tear down the unit. Here are the steps:

Turn off laptop

remove cables and battery

Press and hold power button for 5 secs.

Remove screws in the edges of the laptop

Remove Hard drive, Optical Drive and Power supply fan

Press the CMOS battery (circle shaped silver coating) upwards so that it would disengage and put it back in...

Put back the Hard drive, Optical Drive and Power supply fan

Put back screws in the edges of the laptop

Put in cables and battery

Turn on laptop and the BIOS will be reset successfully...
