There is 2 little thin metal peices that you have to have to slide into the sides of the reciever. It will unlock the sides so that you can pull it out.

I have a Boss 4x50watt in-dash stereo, 2 Pioneer 270-watt max/ 40 watt nominal rear speakers, and 2 Pioneer 500 watt peak/ 80 watt rms front speakers. Do I need to buy an amplifier? Or is does the head...

You do not need to buy an amp, the only reason to buy one is if you do not think it is loud enough when you turn up the volume to max. The speakers you have can take more power than your stereo can provide, but you only need to add an amp to get more power if you want it to play louder than it does now.

I have a pioneer car sterio that I need to remove how do i get it out of my dash? do i need a special tool

If it's an aftermarket stereo, it can be removed without taking the dash apart. It depends on how it was installed. Remove the thin plastic collar from around the radio, it may be easier to remove it with the faceplate detached. Look on the sides for thin metal tabs you can press then in and slide the radio out carefully with a flat screw driver.

Some installers will screw the radio into a dash assembly and the radio will not come out until you remove the dash. Usually cars that have a black plastic pocket either directly above or below the radio are screwed in and don't come out as easy.

If you remove the faceplate and collar, and see a thin metal cage around the radio it should slide out nice and easy with a flat screw driver or the "keys" that come with the radio when purchased new. These "keys" are just long skinny flat pieces of metal and are real cheap.

I have an pioneer deh-7000bt stereo and it keeps going to mute? how do I fix it?

You need to remove the stereo from the dash and make sure the Tel mute wires are not shorting on any metal. tape up any wires that are not connected.

Hope this helps

Don't know what faceplate to buy for Kenwood Stereo SER# r8188309

So if i understand your question correctly, you still have the stereo in your dash, but the face has been stolen, is this correct, Because if this is the case you can remove the rest of the stereo from the dash and somewhere on this unit it will tell you what model it is.

Is the pioneer ts-a6815 a good replacement for stock 2009 premium sound system?

Depends on the manufacturer of the premium sound system.I replaced my premium stereo(JBL) with pioneer mids and highs and yea they were a heck of a lot louder and the sound was like brighter and better all around but i put in a new deck and had a amp running them so i dont know if that helps you.

Remove unit from dash

Depends on how it was installed. If there is a cage involved then most likely you need pioneer radio keys. If you own a Toyota or similiar import then you have to remove the entire dash bezzel.

Pioneer DEH-1600 CD Player. Loose connection somewhere behind device as sound goes off and on when jarring stereo. How do I disconnect and pull out stereo to inspect. I have removed screws but stereo...

If the unit was installed with a cage (most likely if your car is an domestic) you will use two pioneer keys that are L shaped that came with your radio to remove it and it will slide right out. If it was installed iso din (if your car is an import) using the factory brackets the radio is screwed into the car you will have to disasemble the dash which varies depending on the vehichle. What kind of car is it?
