Whirlpool Microwave excessive grease build up

When I first got my microwave oven the steam build up was go great that the turntable broke. I replaced that, but still have excessive steam build up. Also there seems to be an excess of grease in the top of the oven. Is there a way to clean this? I cook bacon quite a bit. I have noticed at times that there are drops of water on the ceiling of the microwave.

I do keep the moisture wiped from the microwave. I am just concerned that maybe there are filters in it that I need to change???

Whirlpool MH1150XMB-1--Just thought I would let you know. Whatever the problem was, now the microwave quit. It popped then quit. The lights work, turntable works, but won't heat. We just gave up and bought another, since it probably would cost more to fix it than buy another. It is probably the door switch??

First you should be sure the ventilation is correct through the oven.

If you don't feel air through the vents when it's running, that needs to be addressed.

Also, it's important to wipe off the interior surfaces whenever moisture seems to be accumulating.

Also, it's recommended to leave the door open a few minutes after cooking to allow it to dry.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.

Okay, could you reply back with your model number, then I could check the owner's manual if you don't have yours.

With the pop, I would suspect a bad high voltage rectifier diode.

But it sounds like you had a lot of issues with it, so I'm guessing a fresh start with the new unit is a welcome change for you.

    Good luck.

Hot microwave door handle

I always recommend that you use the vent fan whenever you're cooking on the stove top to keep heat, steam, and grease out of the controls and door panels.

Microwave exaust fan starts on its own

There's a humidity sensor in this microwave oven that turns on the fan automatically if it senses an excess amount of humidity (steam from cooking for example) to possibly protect humidity or moisture from building up inside the unit.
