Hi, basically if your system specifications are high and meets up with the recommended requirements to run your particular programs you don;t need it to be faster than that but if it is slower than when you bought it, you can do some disk utility programs 1. disk cleanup 2. disk defragmenter you can get to this from start go to programs go to accessories go to system tools and choose

Panning much too fast

Zork Nemesis was written in 1996, so if you are playing with it on a modern computer it's likely that is simply too fast.
Believe it or not the only solution is slow down your wickedly fast computer to play that old game.

Take a look at this utility which is designed just for that purpose.

My sound is real funny like chipmunk sounds

If the pitch of the sound being played by your computer speakers has changed dramatically or songs and videos are playing faster or slower than they typically should be, the problem is with the sound speed on your computer. This could mean a hardware issue with your speakers or sound card or a software issue with the program that you're using to play a digital media file.

Double-check your speaker connections. If one of the audio cables that runs off of your speakers isn't plugged correctly into your computer, this could cause the audio coming from them to speed up or slow down. Make sure all cables are properly connected to their proper inputs and try to play your audio again. Update the driver for your computer's sound card. Go to the website of the company that made your sound card and look for your unit's product page. Under the "Support" section, click on the download link for the latest device driver. Once the file is on your computer, double-click on it to install it. Then restart your computer and try to play your audio again. Make sure you haven't accidentally sped up or slowed down the media file you are trying to play. Many digital media programs like iTunes or Windows Media Player have features that allow you to play a song or video in slow or fast motion. If this becomes accidentally selected, the audio will also be in slow or fast motion. Click "Stop" to stop your media file from playing and then click "Play" again to allow it to play normally. Restart your computer. This will free up system memory when your computer restarts. If your sound was playing too slow or too fast due to an error with not having enough memory to play properly, that error will now be fixed and your sound should return to normal speed. Hope this helps.

Depending on the memory capacity of your Xbox 360 if it is large enough to play online with todays internet speed. (A computer is only as fast as its slowest memory chip).
