What does 'Device manager' say? Does it still have the YELLOW ! next to the sound?

You may have to use 3rd party software to ID the south bridge and the Audio controller.

After download and run, Click on the + by motherboard, click on the Chipset, click on Southbridge at top of right column, ID the southbridge chipset and audio controller, and Google those for updates.

I don't find any video driver to work on Windows XP SP2 or over

Download free software Driver Max from www.drivermax.com will detect all driver updates and any unknown hardware devices and install for you. Free version only lets you do 2 updates per day so choose your video driver first....cheers from Scott

I need audio driver for Sony Viao VGN-SZ430N win XP

I had the same proble... and was SOLVED:

1-Download the propiate Audio driver from the VGN-SZ430N XP Support driver
2-Download Legroom Universal Extractor. Install the software.
3-Extract the driver using Univeral Extractor.
4-Browse through the extracted folder: TEMPEXEFOLDER; and then run the "setup" file from there.
4-It will install this way (you will see a quick splash screen of the Audio driver brand).

Audio Driver not working on Win XP SP2 Pro

hi,
As denoted by your problem description, it seems you are talking about audio software. If this is the case, you can try it re-installing the audio drivers provided by HP website or if you have drivers Disk with you.

Please let me know if you are not talking about software and are referring to Audio device drivers.

Thanks and regards.
