Cuisinart EM-200 Espresso Machine, coffee not hot related issues. ... ...to "extra hot" If still not hot enough, try zapping your coffee for a few moments in the ...
There is a setting between "Warm, Normal, Hot and Extra Hot" however no espresso machine will "boil" the coffee, as this would burn the coffee and taste disgusting.. The best thing to do is to zap the coffee for a little while in the microwave if you like a scalding cup of coffee..
Set the temperature to "extra hot" If still not hot enough, try zapping your coffee for a few moments in the microwave.. no coffee machine will boil the coffee as this would burn and cause an awful burned coffee taste
What a bunch of morons! He asked about a Mr Coffee Keurig... RTFQ!!! read the full question!!! And I have the same problem! My Mr Coffee KEURIG is not getting the coffee but about 170 degrees... NOT hot enough! Was looking for anyone that has taken it apart and done anything to try and fix it! Thanks for the answers that had absolutely NO RELAVANCE!!!
Evening to you Not hot enough, do you leave it to stand with the green lights on? By my experience the machine is best left on so everything is hot when the water passes through. To let some time pass before you make the next cup. And lasly to make sure that machine is clean. Good luck kolbrun
Sounds like the heating element has some hard water buildup on it. Follow the cleaning/descaling instructions that came with your unit, should fix the problem. Also, if you have an in sink garbage disposal, don't waste the hot vinegar. Pour it into the disposal, turning the unit on as you pour, off when you're done. The vinegar is mildly acidic and will disinfect the disposal unit.
Using the 1-4 cup setting will help, but that model does not have an actual heating element in the plate - definitely not the right model for someone who likes very hot coffee.
You could replace the part but you might want to try a better brand like Krups or Braun
If you have a sentimental need to keep it you could have the thermostat and hot plate replaced
