What wireless adapter is installed on the vista computer and how far is the wireless computer from the router? On your vista computer you may change the order of your wireless network and make sure the Wireless Network Name of your Belkin router is on its top. You may also try changing the channel on the router and its security settings from WPA to WEP if it may help in the synchronization process.

Try removing power from the modem and router for 30 seconds, plug the modem back in first then the router. Also could be WPA, have you tried to take all security off and see if it makes a difference? Made sure the os is current with updates, some older sp for xp for instance had an issue with WPA.

Can a belkin network card f5d7050 work with a belkin g plus mimo router

As MIMO is compatible with all wireless g products there shouldn't be any issues at all....
so some questions:
  • do you have other wireless devices working with the router? if so can you duplicate their settings for this n/w card?
  • have you set security on the router?
  • what are you using to connect to the network the windows interface (assuming it's PC not MAC based) or the Belkin one?
i have a linksys g n/w card attached to my MIMO router & it's fine so I'm sure that this is solvable!

Just trying to find the password key that was used in the setup of a BelkinG router in our house, to enable another computer in the house to be connected to the existing network.

Open the working pc open internet explorer and type 192.168.1.2 in the webaddress bar. thsi will open your belkin router settings page. On the left choose wireless security. If it asks for a password leave the password box empty and just click submit. The wireless key is in the box beside pre shard key: if you cant see it untick obsure key at the bottom. Take a note of this for future reference. This is the password key your second computer needs.

Can i retrieve my password for my belking router through my comp?

its a long shot. but you can try, go to your network connections, under wireless adapters, there should be a tab for connections if you see a box for a password and theres an option to unmask the password, then you should be able to get the password..otherwise you need to login to the routerpage and manually change the PW for wireless...

Hope it helps!

I have a wireless G Plus MIMO router that isn't working right.

The wireless router needs the wireless settings configured eg. the SSID, encryption etc and then the wireless card in the computer/laptop needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to secure your wireless network :-

How do i get an internet connection using belkin wireless g plus mimo notebook card

1) Install the wireless card on your laptop computer (driver)
2) Run wireless utility (windows - Control Panel)
3) Select your wireless network (wireless networks availables) and connect.

If your wireless network have a wep key you need to know that in order to get connected.

To do that you need a wireless router connected to your modem or a wireless modem
Be sure first to have that installed first.

If you have more questions please let me know to help you out better with this issue

We've just moved house and have aquired to belking routers a belkin wireless pre n and a belkin ADSL G Plus MIMO I want to use the latter as a bridge how can I?

You need to access the setup page of your Belking router and go to the wireless setup, look fro Use as Access Point, now just a reminder this will defeat the NAT IP sharing feature of the router. Configure the IP address of the router to the same subnet as the network your tying to bridge here's the more detailed procedure:

1. Enable the AP mode by selecting "Enable" in the Use Access Point only page. When you select this option you can now change the IP Settings.

2. Set your IP settings to match your network. Click "Apply Changes"

3. Connect a cable from the LAN port of the router to your existing network.

Wireless connection

Chk if you are able to ping the router ( Start - Run - cmd - ping ip address of the router  ) . IF you can do this when you are wireless, you will know if your card is communicating with the router.
Alternatively, carry your laptop to any hot spot to chk if its the wireless card in your laptop or your router thats causing the trouble. Atleast you can isolate teh issue with this.
