Check the switch for continuity. Check the brushes.

There may be a thermal fuse and some of those are one-shot that have to be replaced. They are usually embedded alongside the windings.

Switches sometimes get dust in them and don't contact inpsite of MOVING.

Problem with feed dogs and thread catching

Hello Emma,

Hope this helps.
When the feed dogs are lowered they will not go up with just the switch. Try this, move the feed dog switch to the up position, then turn the handwheel 1 complete rotation. Voila they should be up. Let me know if it is solved. Chris

I have a Spirit of St. Louis turntable that won't turn.

This model of turntable automatically stops when the needle reaches the center(the end) of the record. The motor should turn back on if you move the arm to the far right of the player, past its resting spot.

Bike has new battery and i was riding it,parked bike and came back a couple hours later and it was dead. push started it and it was fine, shut it off a couple times after riding places and it started up....

You should start by checking if its charging.
put a volt meter across the battery, it should read roughly 12v
then start the bike and it should rise to 14v
much more than this can blow bulbs and boil batteries

Got a question for my ps3. my ps3 recently having this wired clunking noises. well i still work fine with playing games, no problem but having this noise kinda freak me out i'm worried. is this...

It might be something that has come loose. If the system still works fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it. As a precaution, I would avoid moving your system around too much, especially if there is a disc in the drive. It is also possible that it could be a problem with one of the internal components of the system, but I doubt it.
