Error ---------> FAT ERROR
Error! Reformat
external Media With
Sigma Telformatter.

If You See This Error On Your RCA Jet ( S2001 A)
Then Your Absolutely Screwed!
I Hope You Kept The Receipt!
If Not Go Spend Another 50$ ( Keep The Receipt This Time )!
The RCA People Forgot Mention That The Memory Chip In The
Jet (S2001 A ) Is Easily Damaged or Easily Wiped Clean When
Attaching The USB Cable To A PC That Recognizes It As A Storage Drive !..Also If You Go Past 975mb of free Space Even Though It Says It Will Hold 1GB Of Music You Get The Same Error So Remember 2 Things ....
#1 Do Not Go Past 975 mb Of Free Space With Music
#2 Save The Receipt Every Time You Buy A Jet !

Sorry If Im Blunt ..But If It Helps I Had To Buy Another One Myself Cause I Had No Idea It Was A ( POS ) With Issues !!!

Thank you, Solution #3. I took it to another machine and re-updated the firmware and it now works again.

Why can I only fit 831 songs on my 8 gig iPod touch

It should store at least twice that number of songs in mp3 format, and up to 2000 in the AAC format. The best guess at this range is that there are other files taking up storage, the most likely being a few videos.

Use iTunes to check the storage usage, as described here

My 2 Gig mp3 player says that file format not supported

That player cannot recognize iTunes files or most DRM-protected WMA's. Downlaod files that are in Mp3 format, and you will not get this message.

u might have to reformat it because mine did the same thing and sombody told me how to reformat it all u do is plug ur mp3 into ur computer with ur usb cord then go to a folder called 'my computer' then there should ba an icon that looks somthing like an mp3 and if u dont see it at first give it a few minuets then when it dose show up it should have the name of what ur mp3. RIGHT CLICK on the icon then click on FORMAT and it should reformat it.It might not work though oh and if the name of ur mp3 isent there but the icon is and were the name of ur mp3 should be it will say something like MTP device like it did 2 me when i tried to reformat mine.If that dont work u could try to reset it by holding the power button for 10 secends. Those might not cause neither 1 did 4me.good luck!!
