Hai dileep......... dileep..., can please tel mi the following thing..... when i am checking some sites,it is showing that Bad Gateway The following error occurred: [code=DNS_HOST_NOT_FOUND] The host name was not found during the DNS lookup. Contact your system administrator if the problem is not found by retrying the URL. please contact the administrator......... what is 502bad gateway eeror?

When you get it like that just go to start menu >run>cmd>

and in command prompt give PING XXX space -t
xxx stands for your DNS server address

have a check it is pinging or not ...

Computer has no ip address after I restored it please help daughter is riving me crazy.

First thing you want to do, is to make sure all the network cables are plugged into the correct devices such as your router, modem and the computer. if all is running well (everything is blinking with lights) go to your computer, open the control panel, select network connections and open it. Right click on the Local Area Connection and right click on it and select repair. Wait for about 2 mins. After that restart your PC. Try to get on the internet. If you are still not able too, you will need to go to the command prompt, you can do this by selecting start then run, type in 'cmd' and enter. You will see a windows that pops open, it should see somthing like c:\Documents and settings\john> or somthing like this. type in 'ipconfig /all' you will hopfully see a ip address and alot of other information. the ones you will need to look at is to see if your dhcp is enabled if it is then this will give you a auto ip address if it is not, you will need to get a static address from your isp. You will try to see if you can communicate with the IP address by typing in 'ping ' then the ip address. for example 'ping' if you have not packets lost, then that is a good thing. then try to ping your gateway, this will be your router ip address. you can find this ip 'Default Gateway' if you are able to ping this, you should be able to go online fine. 570081d.tif

Sylvania SYNET07526 Owners

For all owners of the Sylvania SYNET07526:

Do not fill in the "OWNERS PROPERTY BLOCK"
filling in this block of information with the Network ID, Password, and Domain will block your machine from connecting to the Internet.

To check this information, do the following:

Click on Start
Double click on Settings
Click on Control Panel
Double click on Owner
Click on Network ID Tab
If any information is in the blocks, remove and leave blank
click on X in the upper right corner to go back, click on start and shut down

Push the power button to start up. Note: holding the power button down for about five seconds ensures a start up . If you have trouble starting up.
Flip the machine over and find a small hole about 1in. diagonally from the right lower corner of the data plate. Insert the tip of a tooth pick into the hole and press down for about 10 second, with the AC power connected to the machine. It should re-load a fresh copy of the operating system

To populate the WiFi with password information.
Double click on the WiFi icon down in the right corner tool bar, it looks like a small computer with two small arcs radiating out to the side. If it has a red X under it, this means you are not connected to the internet.

When you double click on that icon a window opens up named RT701. look to see if the fields are filled in.

Address Type: DHCP
I.P.Address: 192.168.1.(2,3,4...your device number)
Sub Net mask:
Default Gateway: (your server I.D.)

If Not:

Click on Wireless Information tab, wait for your wireless name to come up.
Click on your network name.
Click on Connect.
If the connection needs a network key(password) it will switch to Wireless Network Properties.
Uncheck "This key is provided automatically."
This will allow you to position your cursor in the Network key box and type your Network key.(password)
Click on OK.
You should see your red X down in the right corner disappear.
You are now ready to sign on to the Internet by typing your choice URL in the Internet Browser.
Note: that all internet locations are not available to CE 6 as this will only sign on to internet sites that can funnel you to the smart phone abbreviated sites. Not all sites have the ability to do this and your machine does not have enough memory to render the "Big" sites sign on window.
If you use the included "You Tube" apps icon, then this directs you to the abbreviated YouTube site. If you try to sign on to the "Big" YouTube site, it will give you a browser error

I have tryed to get on line but my pass word will not work.try to get info. but can't had comp. check fr vires found none think smone got my info and changed it please help this is not my comp.

If you need a password to get online and it's not working, you need to contact your ISP, either to reset your password or check your account setup. Usually there is a way to email them a message about your situation, if you go to their support page. Sometimes if the bill's not paid they'll block an account, but otherwise, they are the only ones who can help you to regain access.

Answer the following :

1. Laptop make & model.
2. Do you have a wireless router ? make & model.
3. Do you have another computer ? Is it using the same router to access the Internet ?
4. Your Internet Provider ? (If they are the one who configured the router, phone them & ask for the SSID & password of your wireless router), write it down.

Boot error message

Do you have a disk inside your floppy drive? If you do, remove it and try to boot your computer again.

Do you have a USB hard disk connected? If you do, try disconnecting it first.

If those two things don't work, you will need to have your computer checked by a technician. Maybe there is a problem with the hard disk or with the BIOS configuration (boot sequence).

Verizon Westell 327G wireless connection problem

the best thing to do so that you can isolate the problem is to connect your computer first to the gateway using the ethernet cable. make sure first that connectivity is not an issue if you're using a wired connection. once that's done, try accessing the modem, is the address for your westell. all this is while you're connected with a cable. it will be very hard to fix this issue if you're not wired connected able. check the ip address of your computer. it should start with 192.168.1.xx, any other ip address it will mean your computer is not connected to the modem. if it's a 192 ip address, check the ip add in your modem, it be a routable ip add. for example if you're isp provider is verizon, more often the ip address should start with a 71 to a 74. most likely it will be because you can go online using a wired connection. next thing you should check is your wireless settings in your modem. find out your connection type with you isp. if you have a dhcp or open pppoe, turning off and turning on again your modem will fix things, almost always. if you have a pppoe connection, you have to make sure you have the right username and password. after this, check the properties of your wireless connection by clicking on properties in the wireless network icon, check if you need a WEP key if its secured. sometimes changes in the properties of your wireless network is the problem. if this still doesn't work, there might be a defect with your modem, better call tech support for that. you might need to replace the modem. if you're still under warranty do it now because if not, you will have to buy a new modem if it's found that you have a defective modem.

Hi, Could be done. On the Dell XP - 1. Activate your Internet Connection Sharing. Go to Control Panel, Click on Network Connections, right click on your Local Area Connection, Properties, Advanced tab, check Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection. In Home networking connection, choose "Local Area Connection", OK; 2. Back to General settings, click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on Properties, tick Use the following IP address: IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, if you know ITT DNS use them otherwise tick "Obtain DNS server address automatically." You have to connect the DellXP with the DellVista using a crossover networking cable. On the Dell Vista- 1. In your Network Connections, right click on your Local Area Connection, Properties, click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click on Properties, tick Use the following IP address: IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, if you know ITT DNS use them otherwise tick "Obtain DNS server address automatically." The above method will also work with peer to peer wireless networking. It might also facilitate connection if you enable auto-detect proxy settings in your browser. There are other methods. This is also better explained at Microsoft support Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turns up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

How to reset the password and username

It is simple. You see the modem. there will be a reset button. generally it is hidden. Only reset is written and a hole is given near it. Switch on the modem. Take a thin & rigid pin or stick and insert it into the hole provided and press for 2-3 seconds.The moden must restart.This will reset the modem. Please read the manual if you have or download it from sony website.and enter the defalt user name and password accordingly.
