my amp fell over in the trunk one day and the sound went out, now the sound is very low then fades out then back in...the green power and red protection lights are alternating. i replaced the fuse at the battery and checked the connections. i dont know whats wrong, is this amp toast?
im running this amp and a monoblock sub amp and a 1 farad cap with 0 and 4 gauge wire. (0 ga from battery to distributor, 4 ga to the amps)

Does the amp continue to go into protection if you disconnect the speaker wires from the speaker terminals?

- It sounds like the amp may have shorted output transistors. If that's the case, they would need to be replaced to get the amp working again. If you're interested in changing them yourself, the following page provides basic information. Let me know if you have any questions.
