I need to replace some of the wirers on the plug, could you tell me the wire configuration please and thank you for your help..

The Vehicle should a stereo harness outlet socket on which the new stereo should be connected least requirign wiring individual cables. Once the new stereo has been acquire from retail, a compartible cable socket connection between the parts in the vehicle with the new stereo should simple fit in place. Inquire from the auto retailers about the most available compartible socket cables connection to suit a BMW as the defautl vehicle to a new stereo device. Versatile connection socket connector cables would snap in place as compartible to any stereos.

My sat nav won't pick up any satelites

All GPS devices will need a clear view of the southern sky (in the northern hemisphere anyway) to obtain a "fix" or "lock" to display the location on the map.

A fix can usually be had in under a minute or two. The first time "out of the box" however, may require additional time to display the proper location on the display or output. If the device has built-in batteries, bring the device outdoors to an open area (no tree cover, tall buildings, etc.) and allow up to 10 - 15 minutes for the initial fix. If there are no batteries in the unit, extend the cord to allow the device to be outside the car - in a similar location described above (an open parking lot is very good), and allow 10 or 15 minutes to update the location.

GPS device require an open view to the satellites in the sky. Heavy tree cover, tall buildings, etc can cause significant problems for the GPS to obtain the info to determine its location. Some device provide a jack for connection of an external antenna input. These often have an amplifier built in, and can compensate for less than ideal conditions. Antennas with an amplifier built-in are called "active" antennas. Some vehicles may have a film on the windshield (usually a defroster) that can interfere with receiving the satellite signals. In this case, an external antenna would be a logical choice. When placed on the roof, or other location outside, it feeds the signals to the GPS in the car.

A low profile, active external GPS antenna. This will often outperform the one built-in to your GPS.

Traffic reciever codes

The MSN Direct traffic receiver is located in the cigar power plug of the power cord. When you purchased the GPS and included (or separate) receiver, a special code similar to a CD-Unlock code xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx was printed on a piece of cardboard that the cord and plug passed through. If you discarded the paper - fear not. The MSN Direct receiver code or number is available to view on the GPS screen when you select Tools --> MSN Direct -->Status -->Subscription. There is also a phone number displayed to activate.

Please rate this reply if helpful - good luck!

A lot of time factory stereo require a 4 or 5 security code to activate once you unplug and plug the stereo...in order to get the code just call dealership and ask for the code giving them your VIN or Stereo Serial Number/Model usually they will give it to you for free.

No car radio / stereo for use with Garmin nuvi 750 GPS

Every Garmin Nuvi unit I've seen has a (loud) built-in speaker. The only demand our 250s and 265 make of the vehicle is a 12V power supply (and they'll even work without that for a while, until the battery goes flat).

GPS

Simply choose activate later and then accept the license. The GPS works normally then. Sure it is a bit of a pain to do this every time but you can just leave it plugged in and just put it to sleep instead of completely powering off and then you don't see the activation screen anymore.
