Where can I get peavey replacement parts for sp4 speakers? Need to replace the internal board.

The internal board is the crossover. Your best bet is to contact Peavey directly. Call them up and select the service department. You can purchase parts directly from them. Have both the model (SP4) and serial number. Because the series has been around for a while, there are slight differences in the crossovers (may not be the case for the SP4, bt was for the SP2 series). The serial number will incidate the "run" and insure that you get the proper parts.

Peavey Mark III Bass Combo Amp My low-end started coming in and out and then just left for good. Did I blow the speaker or just short something? If I want to fix this thing, how do I do it? I don't even...

To get the speaker out, pull the frame with the grill cloth out of the amp by prying it out from any side, top or bottom. The grill frame is only held in with plastic velcro-like stuff. Once it's out, the speaker is bolted into the cabinet from the outside. Just unscrew the bolts holding it in, and lift the speaker out.

For removing the amp chassis, unscrew the bolts on the chrome plated strips on the top of the amp at the end of the right and left sides. The chassis should slide out the back. You may need to pull the speaker wires off the speaker, or pull the connector that hooks up the the chassis from the underside, which means you need to take out the speaker first.

Contact Peavey for the diodes and any other electronic components you need.

Have a peavey-xr-600b peavey mixer amp. i get aloud hum and noise and cracking when plugging speaker jacks.

Hi chillin884

Not a good sign. Something has gone wrong with the output stages of your Peavey. It is not a good idea to continue plugging it in as damage may occur to your speakers. I suggest you take it to a decent music gear repair guy for a look see and give you a quote to repair These heads, like all Peavey gear, are pretty solid and worth repair. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news like this, good luck

PEAVEY TRANSTUBE AUDITION 110. PLUG UNIT IN POWERS UP . SITS THERE AND HUMS LOUDLY. SPEAKER WORKS. plug guitar in can hear it faintly, push lead chanel button in , hum gets super loud. HUM IS IN PROPORTION...

There should be an 8 pin IC close to the input jack that will be marked 4558 or 4560. This is an Op-amp Ic that is the most likely cause of the problem. Replace that IC and report the results here.

Call the Peavey Customer Service line (number available @ the Peavey site) and get the parts department to email you a schematics on the amp... it has the footswitch wiring on it. And it's free to do this.

Two amp

I don't know why you'd set the Peavey to 2 ohm to drive 8 ohm speakers??? My other thought is... I wonder if the phase is correct. try reversing one of the speaker wires Left or right side.
