My laptop is working but the screen doesnt show anything

Possible that the fault is relative of a faulty LCD DISPLAY. Connect an external monitor and see if the PC works properly . if so the fault is confirmed to be of the LCD. check the voltage to the display, the back light voltage and the cluster cord to the LCD panel. sometimes there can be a break in the hinges, check continuity to confirm. if not the display driver /LCD panel can be suspected.

When your Memory Craft 8000 or MC 5700 is otherwise working fine but the LCD display screen begins to grow darker and you find you just can't read it, the only thing you can do is replace the LCD screen, or buy a new machine.

Full Access and Installation instructions are provided, so you can DIY or have someone else do the replacement for you.

Check this Link
Also includes advice, links & contacts to be able to Reset your screen and do a Self Diagnosis Routine to test your machine BEFORE you purchase a replacement LCD backlight for either the Janome MC 8000 or MC 5700, so you can check that there are no other troubles.

You will need to replace the whole in-dash A/C control unit. Changing the small bulb won't rectify your problem, as the display is LCD.

SCREEN SUDDENLY WENT DIM

One of 2 things happened....
1) You Blew the Power Inverter... The Power inverter is a thin rectangular circuit board that plugs into the display panel cable and also powers the LCD Bulb.. If This Part Fails - You Lose Light to the Display even though the display will still be on and viewable against a bright light....

2) The LCD Bulb is Faulty... When the LCD Bulb Fails it will typically give pre-warning signs- though not always.... It will give signs like the whole screen has a light orange or pinkish tone to it, but eventually it will blow and no light at all to the Display Panel....

Both Of These Are Repairable....

The Power Inverter Can Be Purchased Off of Ebay, For Around $15 to $30

The LCD Bulb Itself is also Replaceable.. Though It is a Job Only to Be Performed By An Experienced Laptop Tech... Bulbs as well can be bought off of ebay for a few bucks..

DISPLAY

Hello Torr276,
Sound like you have either a bad LCD panel or a bad Back light inverter. The first thing is to start with the back light inverter. Its much cheaper. Replacing the inverter normally fixes 88% of all set with that type of a problem. You can request this part from www.interactiverepair.com
