You need to get the phone unlocked. Either call tmobile and request an unlock code or buy one online. This code will free your phone from the Tmobile lock and you'll be able to use it on any GSM sim card.

This means you may need a new sim card, or there is something wrong with the slot you put the sim card into. Take the phone in to T-mobile and have them check it for you. You may just need a new sim card. Worst case, your phone is failing/failed.

check that Sim card is inserted properly or not. if so there must be some software problem in your phone .format your phone and try now.. this will fix your problem.if still having same problem then check the Sim card slot pin in your mobile.. contact your service and change the slot . this will fix your problem..
If you would like to use an 8900 with pay as you go, the best way I know of is to buy one unlocked on ebay or other sites. You can also buy one direct from blackberry.
