Change the battery and now my radio dont work

find the code (owner hand book radio section) or contact the dealer service centre (If factory fitted) for the code and enter it into the radio . It is an anti theft device that makes the radios useless if stolen which it reads as if you disconnect the battery.

My Radio say SEC? I cant start radio

The sec displayed is security code in case radio is stolen it cant be used without entering the code. Owner may have disconnected battery and didnt put a memory saver in lighter outlet so it locked. If you go to dealer they can retrive the code for you then you enter code and radio should work.unless they changed the factory code. If not and code from dealer works keep in car or safe place so you have it. Usually no charge to do retrival at dealer takes 2 minutes. Hope this helps

Battery was disconnected from 1990 Corvette and now radio doesn't work. Is there a reset?

Check your Owners Manual. When the battery is disconnected the radio forgets all of its settings and has to be reprogrammed. If it is a stock radio the directions are in the owners manual. If it is not stock check the radio manufactures website for instructions. This is not a big deal. At the worst take the car to a Automotive Stereo Shop and they should be able to fix it fast and cheap. Good Luck.

Im desconect my batery car and my cd stereo dont work any mare how i can take the code

Some radios have an antitheft feature bulit in. When the power is disconnected (like in replacing a battery or if the radio was stolen from a car) then you have to enter a code to activate it. Call the dealer and ask if they can help you with the code and proceedures. Your owner's manual should have the proceedure listed in it but the code should have been in the papers that cae with your car when it was new. Again the dealer is your best bet. They will need your vehicle VIN and maybe even the radio serial number

Changed battery and now radio won't work

Your radio is protected by a theft deterent. When the battery is disconnected the radio thinks it is being stolen. If you look in your owners manual, there should be a code you enter by typing the numbered keys on the radio to restore it. If you can't find the manual or the code google it.

After main battery replacement, the radio will not power up at al

Hi fasterboatma, Your computer stats are gone, the computer was reset when battery was disconnected, your radio is in theft mode, the radio is waiting on a code to be entered. The reason it does this is so if the radio was stolen it cant be used without the code. Look in your owners manual and see if the code is recorded there, if not call a local dealer and they can look it up, they will usually do it for free, if not you will have to take the front bezel off and see if you can see the code printed on the top of the radio. Let me know if I can assist further and please rate this solution. lone99star

The radio/disc player won't work

In the owners manual booklet there should be a radio code that you have to punch in in order for the radio to work. This is in case your radio gets stolen no one else can use it. When you change the battery or the battery goes dead you have to put this code in for the radio to work again. The radio code may be on a card inside the leather case the owners manual comes in.. This is where mine was.
