Question about Brother DCP 130C All-In-One InkJet Printer

Scanner problem I just cant seem to get the scanner to work, printing is good but when I go to use the scanner it says "connecting to pc" but dosent do anything...please help!...thanks Kay

Have you installed the Installation programs off the disk that came with the unit? Just plugging the unit into the computer may generate GENERIC drivers for the printer but nothing else.

Put the disk that came with the unit into the Disk Ddrive and run the Installation Program. This will install both the Drivers and the Interface Programs for your unit.

If you have installed the Drivers from the disk and it still won't work, try this:

RIGHT click on My Computer - select Properties - then select Device Manager. Any problems will be displayed by having a Yellow exclamation mark alongside the item. RIGHT click the item with the exclamation mark and select Update Driver (have your disks ready). This will install the correct drivers for your unit.

If all of this fails, contact the retailer and get them to check it out (I assume it is still on warranty).

That seems obvious - put a new cartridge in! I believe the system says you can't use the scanner if you can't print the result. Annoying but . . .

My Epson NX300 prints just fine from anything on the computer screen but, when I try to print a copy from a copy in the printer/scanner tray the paper from the supply rack drops about 4 inches like its...

Connect the scanner to an old USB HUB, and it will work. It stops when you connect to a new USB connection direct in a new PC. Done it. I worked with a 2 port USB HUB. Was posted someplase but I cant remember where. Magnar Vereide

My epson stylus 680 printerwiil no work if i dont install all of the coloured ink but i just want to print black only

Hy, you can not print if you don`t have all the cartridges in the printer (this is a protection from the producer so your printhead dosent burn out. The only hay is to go to the printer menu in your P.C or MAC and in printing preferences select to print in grayscale. After that your printer will ony use BK ink.

I want to print in black and white but cant seem to work out how

Hi Good day.. You can set your printing quality.
To print in black and white, follow these directions:

1. Open the "File" menu on your browser toolbar.
2. Select "Print."
3. When the Print box opens, click the "Properties" button, near the top.
4. Click on the "Main" tab.
5. Check the Grayscale box in the print option."
6. Click "OK."
7. Click "OK" again to print the black and white document.

I cant print any paper out. it dosent work. something wrong with the paperhead. ive tried to clean up all printer but it dosentwork anyway. to print out pics on a cd works triffic. bt i want to print out...

If it prints photos but not regular (black) text. This means the black ink is not flowing at the nuzzle. This usually may not be resolved by just running printer ink head clean up.

What you should do is take out the black ink cartridge, press a folded tissue paper to the nuzzle (where the flows from); if it comes out blotted with ink, it is OK. if not, that's the cause of the problem. So place it in a plate/saucer/bowl with a bit of water so that the nuzzle part is all touching water. Leave it for about 10 minutes. take it out and press a folded tissue paper to it. The tissue should be blotted with black ink. You may need to repeat procedure till the blot is good enough/the flow is good enough. Then return it to the printer and print again.

Cannot scan to my PC

If you are using a usb connection and can print and have button manager installed then go to control panel to scanners and try to have windows find a scanner. Your driver disk must be in the computer. you have to install the sharp scanner drivers from the disk for it to work. Button manager will let you decide how to use the scanner.

Dell 810 not printing

Dear chibihamster, It seems that there is some loose connection in your printer. If you have a little knowledge in hardware, please open your printer carefully, check all the connected cable specially the printer head connector. The best way is that disconnect the printer head cable and reconnect it again. Do not do anything in your scanner circuit area, otherwise it will create you more problems. If this doesn't solve your problem, please contact the manufacturer. GOOD LUCK!!
