Question about Dynex 20" Digital TV
TV DOES THIS WHEN YOU TURN ON, MOST OF THE TIME IT WILL STOP AFTER 1 1/2 HRS WARMUP. SOMETIMES ITS STAYS LIKE THIS WITH THE LINE ACROSS SCREEN. YOU CAN HEAR THE SHOW BUT YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING. WE WERE TOLD THAT DYNEX TV'S WERE EXCELLENT QUALITY AND DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH PICTURE OR SOUND. SINCE WE HAVE HAD THIS TV WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. WE CALLED BEST BUY ALL THEY SAID WAS FOR US TO BRING THE TV IN TO BE REPAIRED AND THAT IT WOULD TAKE 3 WKS TO BE FIXED. THAT'S JUST GREAT BUT THIS IS OUR ONLY TV, AND I FEEL THAT DYNEX AND BEST BUY SHOULD BE MORE CONCERNED THAT THERE ARE MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THEIR TV'S AND HELP THE CUSTOMERS OUT. REPLACE THE BAD TV WITH A NEW ONE THAT WORKS RIGHT. lET BEST BUY DO THE WAITING INSTEAD OF THE CUSTOMER.. I GUESS BEST BUY IS NOT WORRIED THAT ALL THESE PISSED OFF CUSTOMERS ARE GOING TO GO SOMEPLACE ELSE WITH THEIR BUSINESS, THEY FEEL THEY ARE THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN SO PEOPLE HAVE TO SHOP AT THEIR STORES. Your TV has a vertical deflection failure. There are parts that have failed. This will require time to troublshoot and service.
The make you are mentioning is not a known quality brand name.
You should get an estimate before deciding to service the set. The service cost may be expensive if there is no warranty on the set.
If you decide for a new set, I would suggest staying with a quality brand name and get a service contract.
