The green power light comes on then flashes a couple of times then the tv goes off and I can't get it to stay on. No picture comes up on the screen for that short time either.

upon hitting the power button, the red light showing on the front of the tv should flash a couple of times, the screen should come on and the light goes off..the red "stand by " light stays on and we cannot get the screen to come up..needless to say, cannot get to the menu to change any display options...any suggestions?
It can be a couple things. Something bad on the power board. Or the vertical output circuit. How long ago did you purchase the television. Your best course of action is to have it serviced. If you need any information or other assistance let me know. Thanks, Lee
