Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed ACER monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

You can't, it's a 'feature', set for every 7 minutes of inactivity. However.....

I don't think you can turn off sleep mode. However, after the calculator goes into sleep mode, to return to where you are working just press the C/CE key (red key bottom left). The calculator will return to where you left off.

Hi! When I shut my computer down the lights do not

When you shut off your PC do you:
1) Give it enough time (could take from 1 minute to 10 minutes) to shut down completely (easy sign is if the fun continues to run or lights are on)?

2) Clicked Hibernate or Sleep OR closed your laptop screen before it completely finished shutting down (this could put the PC to sleep and it would remain on, so the lights would remain on, until you woke it by moving a mouse, flipping the screen back and forth for a bit or pressing the start button (not holding))?

3) Have it plugged in (depending on the model, a light might stay on if it is charging even if it is not on(probably not this one since you said it turns off after a Hard shutdown (don't do this since this damages your computer and will make it break down after continued use)))

I have a HP Media Center PC m1264n desktop.I can turn it on and 1 minute or maybe 5 to 10 minutes into it,it will just shut down, but the power led light on the front of the PC stays on.I reboot it and it...

Is it going to sleep or is it actually shutting down? Do you have to push the power button to turn it back on? Just a thought - if you have Windows 7, go to Start, Control Panel, then System and Security. Now check 'Change when the computer sleeps' under Power Options. Under Edit Plan Settings, what do you have for 'Put the computer to sleep'. Does '20 minutes' show up in the box? Open it and change it to 'Never' and then Save changes. If this didn't help you, maybe someone else can.

I turn on tv shuts off after 30-45min. red lite goes dim

It's likely that the TV will require service since your troubleshooting steps didn't resolve the problem. If your TV is smaller than 30", you may carry it in to the retailer of purchase for repairs. Otherwise, service for your TV can be obtained by calling 1-888-237-8289 in the U.S. or 1-866-237-8289 in Canada.

When the screen is not used for a little while it goes in the sleep mode and I have to turn it off and back on. Is this normal

Normally a monitor will come out of sleep mode merely by moving the mouse or hitting a key on the keyboard. It all has to do with your power settings. If in Windows, click on START/ControlPanel/Power Your Power settings determine how long your monitor stays on as well as hard drive disks when computer is idle. Just select a longer period of time or "Never" for monitor shut off settings.
